so I am painting and slightly converting my soul grinder. He will be used in my Khorn army. I have till now put a new left arm with a green stuff bicep and muscle system, slight head position shift and a rearing leg position. I'm not so sure if to put on him a pair of shoulder armour plates. If I remember right those are from a twin linked bolter off landraiders. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I like the concept, and the look matches the arms (well, the mechanical arm, at least), but currently it's a bit too obvious that they're shields from a Land Raider, and fluff-wise it seems odd that a Soul Grinder (or its maintenance crew) would loot bits from a Land Raider.

Would be better if you could modify/mutate them somehow.

Some pauldrons might be a good idea. They look a little too square though.

the main reason I used Land Raider parts is because now we can field them side by side from the same codex together with the Khorne Deamonkin book. Yes they are a bit too obvious, you are right. Maybe i should sculpt some rivets or sinews that make the shields more organic and less "mechanic"??

Or also as Clang suggested, pauldrons. The only thing is that i dont want to hide the bicep and shoulder tendons that i sculpted earlier

I'd rough up the edges and add some spikes, chains and bullet holes to break up the square outline and make it more organic.

I had some odd ends from a defiler and stuck them temporarily with putty. I believe it fits and looks more chaosish

That should work well. It will take some skill to blend those bits on.

I'm quite pleased with the result. I think paint is next
