It has been a while since I painted properly (about 4 years) and here are my first 2 for my khorne demons army.
I mainly focused on getting the bronze/gold right. Didn't want the models to be overly gold. Probably not the best idea to start again with champions, but I could not resists lol.
P.s I hate painting faces so any tips would be more than welcome :-)
Also I'm sorry for the quality of the photos, haven't got anything other than my phone :-D

Painting the cloak a different colour would help break up the model
happy wargaming,
-Mikey
thank you for your comments. I did think about doing the cloak in green but i thought it would clash to much, so i only opted to do the power weapons with green.
I definitely need to try and get some better pics, It is certainly difficult to see the detail of the models when taken with a phone lol :-D
Been a while since i painted, but a local GW competition got me started up again. The subject was flags/banners and i got 2nd place with this model getting 16.5/25 which i was happy with considering i haven't painted in so long
Next month is Behemoths, so i'm going to get my daemon prince painted

Loving the simple effect on those power weapons! Really helps to make those Chosen stand out
For help on painting faces: if you're using the Citadel paint system, start with a layer of Bugman's Glow over the whole face. Then apply a shade of Agrax Earthshade/Reikland Fleshade. Once that dries, paint Kislev Flesh on the most raised areas of the face (such as the brow, the nose etc), leaving the Bugman's Glow and shade in the deepest parts. Hope that helps ya out!
Other than that, I'd say a great job on their armour

And if you haven't found these videos already on Warhammer TV for Dark Vengeance (I assume you have the whole set and are painting the CSM as Crimson Slaughter due to the red and gold), I highly recommend them:
Recently finished my daemon prince. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Tried to do a blue glow in the recesses of the power amour but it clashed to much with the model so opted with the brass look instead.
Just finishing my terminators so will have them up on here shortly ;-)

cheers mate ... next up is raptors, should have them done by late next week
the bases are simple to do. I get brick mortar crush it up a bit so you have all different sizes. PVA glue it to the base and paint abbadon black, Dark grey, highlight with a lighter grey and then final highlight with white
