Hello there,

We recently had a great set of models – Bretonnian cavalry! The models themselves are lovely and perfectly fitting the historical, chivalry feel and Arthurian legends influence. Moreover, they are great painting opportunity – not many armies may be painted in striking, highly contrasting colours and look good on the battlefield – in the Bretonnian case, more colours is always a better option! Add to id the freehand patterns and symbols to show their personal heraldic, and you get one of the best model sets for a painter to get wild upon!

As always, click for a closer view.

How do you like the Bretonnian crusade?

Always loved Bretonnia and these look really great, good job! My favorite is the Pegasus knight.

If I'm gonna be critical, I am not a big fan of the bases. I think the grass is too bright to go well with the black earth, at first glance I thought you had just glued plastic grass on a plain black base; the style on the Pegasus rider is much better (in my opinion)

Glourious colour pallet, just clear and bright enough to make them 'pop', but not too much that they look too 'candy'. Right on the mark ! And the bases are sweet to boot, (puts me in mind of the knights Teutonic on crusade in Eastern Europe)

Smite the heretic with righteous blade.

Indeed, the Pegasus Knight was painted in the different (better than the Knights) quality.

As for the basing, perhaps there is too much grass on several of them - but try to imagine them taking a ride on the meadow straight from the Arthurian Legends.

The only thing I wonder about is why 1 of each group has a horse with glowing red eyes. Any reason? :-)

Surely - it's to differentiate the Grail Knights from the knights of the realm As the colour scheme is basically the same, we thought that the eyes addition will make them more "spiritual"
