Hi all,

Wanted to share some pics of my grey knights. Been chipping away at these since I got back into 40K about a year ago. Wanted to do some non-metallic GK since they came out as deamonhunters way back, and this is what I ended up settling on. Hope you like them.

Great job. Love the alternative color! I did mine in a metallic blue and really like variation over the good old boltgun metal color!

Did you prime white then paint blue in the recesses?

Thanks! They were primed white, but then basecoated in Ulthuan Grey. I did the recessing with some homemade wash using blue and black artist's ink and a recipe I found here on Dakka, and then did a bit of white highlighting.

I'm torn. I absolutely love the concept and the colour you chose as your base. It just seems a little off to me with the white and blue being such cool colours and the red and gold being so warm. I would have loved to have seen you stick with the cool scheme. Still, love the alternate concept and it looks good.

I hate you a little bit (in the sarcastic, really it's "damn dude, those are amazing and I love them" way). Those just look fantastic, and you're making me rethink how I'll paint mine when I get around to it. Great job, for a third time, they look great.

Those are fantastic. I really dig the white with the blue wash/ink.

I rarely like GW models these days (too many out there) but your's are impressive.

Yeah, I've heard this before - seems like 10-20% of people aren't onboard with the warm/cold mix! To be honeest I didn't think of this when I put the scheme together. I've also heard it's a very "American" colour scheme (Red, blue, sort of white I suppose) - also entirely unintentional!

These all look amazing! I think these colors are far superior to the metalic version!

That is a fantastic colour scheme! And the bases go so well with it too! Your army looks brilliant, I love it.
