I'm in the middle of a half-dozen projects, but mucking about around the internet inspired me start yet another project: cherry blossom tau. I've never done a white model before, and I hate white as it is, so it'll be a real challenge for me. Makes me want to invest in an air brush. Any tips are welcome!

That's a really lovely idea you've gone with! Liking it a lot.
Whites are a pain, but you've done well there and kept them clean.
I'd add some falling blossom on the panels too. Right now the branches are more of a focus than the petals, in my eyes. You can also give the design a flow across the model.
The basing is clever, too.

More shades of pink as well, more leaf than bark so it looks more like the actual tree. It's a nice idea, and looks great when done well.

That's crazy I'm actually painting my tau up with a similar theme. Here's my hammer head chasis. spoiler for size.

Thanks everyone. You're right about the branches being more of a focus. I love the idea of the the petals falling off, I'm going to paint them as though they're blowing in the wind. I'm working on a balance between enough flowers and the design being too crowded.

Servania, I love that look on the chassis. Great touch. When I get a riptide I'm going to put on a few model cherry blossom trees and make some flowers out of tissue paper to put on the base.
