Due to the fact that these rules do not officially exist, I'm assuming YMDC isn't the appropriate place for this post.

As the title says, what changes should be made to the current Codex: Angry Marines to make it viable for 7th edition play? My current thoughts are:

  • Adjust (lower?) points cost where applicable, match points cost of vanilla marines where there is overlap

  • Add formations, as well as a conglomerate force similar to the Gladius Strike Force or the Decurion

  • Per the BA, SW, and DA, a new psychic discipline for their Masters of Mindfethery: Iratomancy. They appear to have a unique list already, so this is just a simple rename.

  • One 'cheese' formation, like the Skyhammer Annihilation Force or that one Mechanics formation whose name escapes me. The Angry Marines Bomb strikes me as a decent starting point
  • .

The Angry Marines are the lost Legion XI. Their Primarch, Asura, reportedly never landed on a planet, and instead drifted through space for untold years, with nothing but a discarded copy of the game Battletoads to keep him company. When the capsule had finally been rammed into a drifting hulk of an old Imperial battleship, it is said that the Primarch was so enraged and frustrated with the vile game that he headbutted out the Adam's apple of the first survivor that he encountered, and thereafter killed every inhabitant with the remnants of the dying initial combatant.

Lol, Battletoads. I think the Angry Marines need to finally be retconned as proper Khorne worshipers instead of this lame imperial nonsense that doesn't fit them as well.

Formation: drop pods are for pussies
    1 hq
    4 units of tacticals
    1 unit of assault marines
    0-3 land raiders

The formation arrives by ds reserve, roll scatter as normal, if unit type is infantry or jump infantry and lands on an enemy unit, they do i10 str 8 hammer of wrath and count as assaulting, if a land raider lands on a unit it does a large blast strD hit on all models under the template.

Heres a formation (STEEL RAIN IS FOR F**KS!)
    Temperus maximus
    5 Assault squads
    3 Belligerent engines

Temperus maximus may be the only angry marine model on theboard at the start of the game, during the shooting phase he may call down the orbital strike cruiser, once casulties have been resolved, place the Assault squads and belligerent engines in and around where the template landed

Formation special rules: Warlord trait reroll, Temperus maximus may not attack or shoot until he has called down the strike cruiser, all upgrades from the melee weapons chart are free

Restrictions:may not take allies, all models (apart from Temperus Maximus) must take melee weapons and flamer weapons

I've posted this over on 8chan, as a matter of fact. Unfortunately, that /tg/ isn't the most densely populated, and I have yet to receive feedback. This forum is fairly popular, so I reasoned that I would have better luck.

I like both of these. Despite the hilarity of crushing the enemy with METAL BAWKSES, I prefer the latter. Having assault squads be standard issue for an orbital strike is something the Angry Marines would do.

I've updated the points values and a few minor things for the generic HQs and the Angry Squad, though I think trying to format tables over mobile will drive me into a rage, and I don't have desktop access for the next three days.

Could you update it to say 'angry marines may also take items from the heavy and special weapon lists from codex:space marines, but only if you're a fa/tg/uy

1d4chan I articles can be edited by anyone, even those without an account, but I'll see what I can do if I get a chance later.

Really, though. C:Angry Marines needs specialization, not something else's rules.

I've finished updating the costs for just about everything except comissars and Ecclesiarchs, as I only own the Space Marines Codex, though I would imagine the list could benefit from proofreading. Also, entries are needed for Angry Bikers and Biker Gangs.

Everything that has an analogue in the Space Marines codex has been updated or given an entry. Now all that is needed are a few formations.

Maybe you'd have better luck on the 4chan version.

In any case, should Temperus Maximus be a Lord of War now like Calgar and Azrael?

When I went through my I initial points update, I made Maximus a LoW. 4chan is a possibility to be sure, though at the moment I'm not desperate enough to give that festering cancer Web traffic.

Ah cool, buff him any or just changed the slot?

Well, you went on 8chan, sounds like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch really.

I dropped him down to 275 points to put him in line with Papa Smurf, but that's about it.

Back off-topic, seeing as 8chan /tg/ (and 8chan in general, really) was created as an alternative to halfchan /tg/, and his higher quality to boot, I'm not sure what you mean. But this isn't exactly the place to engage in board wars.
