Just curious about what you guys would consider your favorite models. Mine is an old Tzeentchian sorcerer with a mushroomy body.

My all-time favourite is definitely the mounted daemonette. This one is slightly converted, but I chose this as the paintjob is just beautiful.

That's very hard to say, I think GW makes mostly outstanding miniatures.

But one of my favorites has to be this one:

The early 2000s produced a lot of good models, Juan Diaz' sculpts were and still are awesome. It's still a shame, that GW replaced the Juan Diaz' Deamonettes with the nipple-free plastic casts.

I genuinely couldn't tell you between these two. I wanted to say the old Perry sculpted Commissar Look-at-my-book, but frankly I'd have been doing so based on my sense of humour, not actual favourites.

This is such a tough question! Mine might be Aragorn from the Heroes of Helm's Deep set, the one running with his sword in both hands.

My favourite group of 40K models would have to be the Armageddon Steel Legion troopers. I have 44 now, and I'd like to expand with another 2 squads or so. They're a fair bit cheaper in the UK than in Canada for some reason...

This is a question you could ask me every day for a month and get a different answer each time. Here's my picks by game, though

40k: The Terminator Chaplain above is pretty close to perfect, but this guy is also a favourite

WFB: Prince Althran on Swiftclaw, no question about it!

LotR: Witch King on Fell Beast

Infinity: Knight of the Holy Sepulchre

Malifaux: Death Marshals (pics not mine!)

I'm sure I could think of plenty more, but that'll do for now!

Not sure I have a favourite but these are a few that I like a lot.

The guy on his back and the platform he stands on are removable. If that wasn't possible it would ruin the model for me but the guy alone is great. He is from the Bushido Range.

Next one is an Ishida miniature from Steel Fist.

Hmmm either a Wood Elves Treeman or a Ogre Stonehorn.

My choice is completely based on looks btw, not game play.

That would be the Ra Partha Evil Lord on Litter

Or the Throne of Bone

I cannot find an image of the "Evil Lord on Litter" and I have not yet re-painted my replacement. He used to be commanding an Army of Stygians (mostly undead, but many Slave troops as well), but, well... he is now in Limbo along with all but two of my prior collection.

I plan to use him as an Easterling and as a Stygian for Hyborian Armies.

He is sitting on a litter, shaped like a pentagram, across which is draped a cloth over the center (the rest being open), and carried by four hairy ogres.

At his feet lie a leopard and a naked woman, and he is lazily (or weakly) weave arcane symbols with his left hand. His is shaded from the skies by the winged arms of a chthonic throne upon which he sits.

I really wish that miniatures for Proper Hyborian Armies existed (along with proper miniatures for Middle-earth Armies, and not stuff made for Skirmish Games).

Has the options for every single hatch to be open or closed. Perfect track assembly. Heaps of etched brass. Best transfers I have ever used. Overall an amazingly detailed kit. I have never assembled anything as cool as this, and I have assembled a Reaver Titan (which was cool ish to assemble).

It's Swords & Sorcery, so of course it is ridiculously Metal. Especially for Conan.

The Magicians from that world tended to evoke a certain Frank Frazetta or Boris Vallejo appearance to them, and Tom Meier captured it in these two models.

Of course it is no worse than Minifies Army of the Valley of the Four Winds, that used to grace the Dalling Road store.

Sorry it isn't exactly a miniature, but as a child I collected the original Star Wars figures and begged my parents to buy me one of these for Christmas........ but they never did. Thanks to them I fully intend to substitute AT-AT for Rosebud on my deathbed.

Dragon! I'm going to have to supplement my earlier answer with something I just remembered.

For years I coveted this thing online, wishing I could get a copy (it's $99 and so heavy that the USA > UK postage was obscene). Then one day, I was attending a small wargames show and one of the stalls had a pile of DS Elmore boxes. I found my dragon. I found my dragon signed and numbered on the box by every person involved with its creation. Some of the signatures I have legitimately no idea who they are. When it's build I'm going to take the box top and put it on the wall.

It was originally by Ral Partha, but is now sold by Dark Sword. (Go look at better chosen pretty pictures)

It's HUGE, it's nearly everything I ever wanted in a dragon. It is also the sharpest mother fether I've ever owned. The reason I've never build this, is that it needs a closed display case shelf to itself because if a cat or a kid bumped it, they would come out looking like one of those dogs that argued with a porcupine.

If GW hadn't released Smaug, I'd have eventually proxied this in.
