I'm throwing my hat into the ring here with a point assignment system, as well as a spreadsheet calculator and fully pointed out High Elf Warscroll Compilation to serve as an example. Just took a look and it seems better than the complete lack of balance there was before. My only criticism is the subjectivity of the minor, major and heroic special rules. There's quite a few that one could argue belong as minor that others would say are major, or major that others say should be heroic. I recognize that these rules do so many different things, some subjectivity is required. But if you want to make a set of point costs for each warscroll compendium, it would give a concrete answer on how each rule should be categorized.

That's not a bad idea.
I had the same deliberation with special rules, and decided that ultimately there would be some natural conflicting views on what each rule should cost.
But if i just go through each compendium and point out all the special rules, we would at least have a base to argue off of, rather than sheer conjecture.
Any requests for which ones get done first? I'm also working on adapting the document to be a little easier to work and read.
