Subject: New Warhammer 40K Action RPG: Inquisitor Martyr
Not much revealed yet, but I assume that when they say "agents of the inquisition" that they imply as either part of an Inquisitorial warband or an aspiring inquisitor/acolyte. Nice to see some more open-world 40K games, if they follow along anywhere like Bioware's KOTOR series regarding crew and missions except 40K style I'd be down for it in a flash. This game would be a great way of looking at other xenos races besides Orks (as much as I love them) and get a glimpse of guys like the Hrux, and other horrors like those in the Ghoul Stars.
Wait, it's from the guys who did The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing?!
I was already hyped for a game where you play as the Inquisition, but now?! Oh, hell yes!

Also, why on earth would take the concept of an Inquisitor RPG... and make an action RPG.... Probably just another Diablo clone. Unless this can really surprise me I probably won't bother.

Now I know why the actual rules to 40K are the way they are.... GW doesn't give a feth about the table-top game, they have learned a lesson that Lucas taught lo these many decades ago:
Licensed products are the keys to the treasury.

One can only hope. If the 40K tabletop was killed off tomorrow in exchange for a steady stream of good-quality games like Dawn of War and Space Marine, I'd consider that a fair trade.

Speak for yourself, you would be suprised how many would consider that a rather great loss

I would take that trade too. I kind of doubt that will happen though. They seem to be be letting anyone make games with out regard for quality control.

Hopefully you aren't forced to play as that bald douchebag in the trailer. Maybe he's an NPC or an enemy instead? Or just one of the options.
I hate his helmet style...

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Honestly, after seeing that I'm pretty disheartened. I was expecting a 3rd person RPG ala KOTOR. I was hoping for some measure of detective elements or at least choices rather than the hack and slash top down game they have set up so far. At the very least you should have a retinue backing you up in the battles, with the inquisitor in power armour mowing guys down he just comes off as a "not-marine".

... if that's in-game footage, you better have a top-end device to play it on. Mobile devices have certainly improved in recent years, but they still don't hold a candle to a laptop or a desktop in GPU or raw processing power.
And, yeah, as came up in another thread, this is like Diablo with guns. Doesn't really look "RPG"ish at all. Also, that Inquisitor must consider grenades heretical, because using a pistol to shoot at people behind heavy cover is a waste of time and ammo otherwise.
