So I got bored and made this haha, I know a lot of people are going to hate me for "defiling" their precious space marines but I don't care, it was just some fun X3.

Hilarious.
The bolter and backpack kinda standout though, because they are black. Maybe colorize those too?

Haha Yeah, the reason for the black backpack and bolter is because I painted all the weapons and backpacks for my army in one go, before I had the idea for this little "project",

I would recommend thinning paint, and definitely use some high lighting, low lighting techniques. The knee arm and thigh joints have no color or shade distinction from the armor plating making the model look like an unpainted space hulk mini. A quick wash would do wonders for the model. The fur has the same lack of depth problem as the armor.

I have actually added a wash of Nulin oil now, and yeah the reason for the thick-ish paint is because this is my first mini I had to hand brush so it turned out kinda bad...I think it looks good enough for a fun little thing though so I guess that's all that matters~!

I would give the armor a wash and then a highlight or drybrush of a lighter color as it looks like there is only one coat of base colors on it right now. The freehand on the shoulder pad is actually pretty good, light colors like that are always hard to paint.

As for the paint scheme, not my cup of tea but to each their own.

Looks hilarious but the lack of a jet pack disappoints me.
Take care of your mold lines,
Wash or highlight more to get more depth and definition.

The black equipment is kinda jarring compared to the rest of the model.

why not white?

Yeah...I should've stuck one of my Sanginuary Guard's jetpack on her, that would've looked good. ((Maybe in the future...)), Wash has been done, just need to take photos of him washed. Black equipment is just so it matches the rest of my Wolves.

Haha good lord.

I think the vibrancy of the colours would be made even more striking with some edge highlighting on all the hard edges. I just started and I'm finding edge highlighting to be very difficult, but it pays off to practice since it looks great in the end.

Yeah I just started too, this is like the only model I've painted which isn't just plain white as a base, and I will have to try highlighting...although it seems like quite a daunting task haha!

You forgot to use any purple. Also the outline on the cutie mark pad is way too harsh. It should be navy blue.

I'm not averse to the idea, unless you did it purely to rustle jimmies (be careful with the wording of your posts with terms like "precious space marines"), and the colours are no less in your face than say, Imperial Fists.
I will say that at the moment the gimmick is overtaking the execution and it needs a few finishing techniques and some polish, as mentioned in this topic. I can see bare patches and splashes where you've missed areas. It'd certainly work on the tabletop either way. If you could get anyone to face you.

Fluffy cloud basing is now mandatory.

...? Rest it on the wood-patterned flat surface that the marines are currently standing on.
