To go along with my test Iron Warrior, Im also working on an Eldar Seer. I've enjoyed the bit of work on it so far, though the highlights on the cloak have been a pain to work out.. not sure that im fully happy with them, but it seems.. difficult in black. Still a WIP obviously, but, im working towards a complete figure.

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

I think it's looking like a really good start, the front is lovely. The gems are especially awesome, and the crimson is a great choice.

I'm not sure about the placement of some of the highlight on the back. The 6PM to 4PM section of his lower coat, the bands seem a bit too wide, and actually go back into the recesses in some parts.

I'd recommend shining a hard light down at him, and photographing him like you've done there then keeping that picture to hand and rearranging some of the highlighting.

Doesn't look too bad.
My best advice would be to make the highlights on the black as thin and as straight as you can. You can only really edge highlight onto black.
I've got a couple pictures of the same model I did a while ago with Ulthwe.
I've improved a lot since then, so don't laugh. Haha. It's not too great.

But yeah, good luck with the rest of it.
