Hey mates. Just looking for options other then hunting on ebay, online stores, or going through GW to find Space Wolf Shoulder Pads. Granted they just can out with the upgrade kits, but what I don't like about them is they made all of them different in some way and to me it makes no sense why GW cant release a pack of Generic Space Wolf Drop Pods in plastic, as they would make a lot of money that way I would think. Anyways, anyone know of some places where I can get Space Woild Shoulder Pads for a decent price?

And I have heard of shapeways makes pretty good custom 3D Shoulder Pads, anyone here tested them out before and if so how did it turn out? Appreicate any feedback and pictured are the two Shoulder Pads I am currently looking for to utilize for my Custom Space Marine Chapter.

plain shoulder pads + etched brass might be an easier option?

You could try press moulding them. This was my first attempt at press moulding a wolf's head from one shoulder pad on to another shoulder pad (the model's right shoulder pad)....

My technique was to create a mould from instant mould by pressing a shoulder pad which already had a wolf's head in to the instant mould. Pressed some greenstuff in to my mould (try and get it as flat as possible with as little excess greenstuff as possible, you can use a spare shoulder pad covered in a release agent to fine tune the amount of greenstuff). Once it's mostly cured (a few hours) I pull it out, trim off the excess and apply it to the new shoulder pad.

It is a bit of a pain in the arse but it's the best solution I've come up with.

I actually love how they are all different. SW are meant, imo, to be unique. I like to mix up my shoulder pads in my units.

I prefer to have some unifying features on my Space Wolves so that other aspects that are unique from one model to the next stand out even more (like a unique axe or a unique pose or a unique cloak). I find when models have too many differences, they end up looking similar because it's just a mess of differentness... if that makes sense

Saw those already and not a fan of the design on them lol. And granted it is all about unique shoulder pads, I'm looking for unified, similar shoulder pads for the rank and file marines. The unique ones would be for my HQ and Honor Guard units, as well as Sergeants.
