Again, excellent work, I especially like the details such as the bloody saliva.

Sadly there are room for improvement in your photography as it is a bit too out of focus/blurry to do your fine work justice. Might I suggest that you check out some tutorials on using a light box to improve your photos.

I think some better photography would definitely make this model really shine, but from what I can see, he looks great! How did you do the saliva effect?

I really like the realistic aspect of your demon, it's way creepier than these overcoloured Tzeentch minis one seldom sees. Congrats!

so there is this foam glue that BSI makes. i think its bob smith industries, most hobby stores sell it, its the compant that makes all kinds of glues. its a special thick glue used for gluing foam board together without it melting and making toxic fumes. its fairly cheep, so i use it for saliva and foam board. then i gloss varnish it after it dries.

That is an incredible piece! I love the GW Lord of Change (which I think has stood the test of time far better than its 3 contemporaries) but this is on a whole 'nother level. When you add that amazing paint job, you've really hit it out of the park!

Be honest, how tough is it to ship off such a mini once it's done?

was it a lot of washes? you should invest in a better system of photography. my own showcase level models suffer horribly for lack of one. gj man

also did you get any miscasts? feathers are notorious

I love this model so much, one of my favorites on FW along with the Keeper of Secrets. Chaos gets the most exotic sculpts. I'll get one eventually!

Your painting is fantastic, looks really nice and I'm sure the client will be super happy. Great work.

I think he looks great!

I also think Dakka is way too quick to complain about photography. No offense to anyone, but not everyone wants to do professional photoshoots every time they want to share something.

The OPs photos are absolutely fine. You can see everything perfectly, as well as the details everywhere. For those who say 'from what i can tell/see' need a new monitor or some glasses, lol because you can easily see everything you need.

luckily this was a local job, so i just had to hand it to the client. and my manager ships them off, lol so i dont know how the shippind works on these. i would imagine it would be terrible!

yes it was alot of inks, normally i dont use inks/washes. but this model was okay and it really helped tint the skin to multi colors. as for miscast, i believe there was, because the client had already assembled the model (which i hate because i had to pull its wing off lol) but there are some things missing on this model. the spikes on the spine and helmet are missing. and other small things, so im sure those didnt out too well. as for what you see that i painted. nothing was miscasted. everything was very well done from FW on this cast.
I DO HATE THOSE MISCAST THOUGH!!

thanks my friend! though i can see the point everyone is making. the thing is, my manager takes the real pics for my portfolio to show clients. i just snapped some quick pics with my iphone and sent them on here, just wanted some opinions before i gave it to the client.
but i do appreaciate the "sticking up" for me. ive learned to take the criticism seriously. and i actually want it, this is how ive learned to excell in my painting. i use to get so upset when my boss would say "you need to change this" when i spent 9 hrs on a model. but it has brought me to a whole new lvl of painting.
