I reckon 40k isn't immune to the lollipop guild of Smagmir.

What will you do if they incorporate the same rule set for 8th edition 40k?

Methinks Tzeentch needs to be reigned in at the GW office if so.

Age of Sigmar - It's sorta like a clogged toilet, where the muck crests over the rim and onto the floor. Somehow 'ground marines' were created from this...

Ford stopped making Model T in 1927 and began to produce Ford Focus, will my Renault be focus-ified?

40k in its current state is doing something WHFB hadn't done in a while: sell well. AoS was a necessary step to boost sales, and for the most part its working. At my FLGS it's flying off the shelves and I'm seeing more fantasy being played than I ever have.

That being said, 40k keeps the lights on for GW and the current ruleset is selling.

40K won't be Age of Sigmar'd, but it's likely that some of AoS' mechanics will find their way into 40K, like the total removal of points limits. The nullification of the FoC was the beginning.

Now that GW has basically given up on ever balancing the game, there's zero incentive to keep points limits around- all it does is limit what the players can put into a list and thus what they may be willing to buy.

Allies, summoning, unbound, formations, and the inevitable removal of points limits: these are all mechanics designed to give you freedom to put whatever you want into a list and, thus, encourage you to buy more models.

40k has already been "sigmarized" to a degree in the last 5 years.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.
