Been working on a SM libby, getting the blue highlighted up tonight, that'll leave the angel above the book, and gives me a question...

I was going to do the white with a purple wash in the recesses then blended back up to white, problem is I'm unsure how it'll look introducing a new, bright colour, any ideas?

Looks good, but it would look much better if you rotated your photo's to be the right way up.

I think that if you go with white for the angel you risk drawing attention away from the face - at the moment the librarian's face is nicely framed by a bone-coloured diamond - the aquila on his chest, his shoulderpads and the book on his back. Introducing a bright colour like white will likely drag the eye upwards, away from the librarian's face. Perhaps instead you could paint the angel gold or the red you've used on his left arm?

I agree that gold would probably be a better choice for the angel.

Unfortunately my phone does that with pictures on dakka.

I think the white would look better on its own as I'm aweful at metallics! But I f9 have the concern its going to take the focus.

Looks like it may have to be gold.
