So I have decided to just start a new thread and post all my commision paint jobs and showcased models here. some of you may have seen some of my models scattered around on this forum (and maybe ill repost them here when I get the time)
I'm a failry new painter (10 months painting). Never had a lick of artistic ability in my bones but for some reason model painting just clicked 10 months back and I just started painting. I do accept commisions, and if you are interested, let me know. I will set you up with my manager to get you into our paint queue. turn around time is very fast, and price is alot cheeper than most "conglomerations of painters" that I wont name here.

So first up, is my own personal eldar wave serpent I did this weekend. I am investing into a better camera, so please dont chew me out for the pics. I apologize about the hand in one of the photos, but I couldnt get the shot without using my hand, otherwise the lighting would have been off and I would have damaged the model.

it is nicely painted, however, it is a bit busy for my taste.

I can appreciate this piece, please send it to me immediately . Also where did you this much skill in 10 months? I've been painting for years and I paint like a simpleton in comparison.

Honestly man, I have no clue. I couldn't paint for crap, I couldn't draw, never touched an airbrush. My family is full of artist, and I thought I just didn't get the artistic gene lol. But I started modeling and I just took off I geuss.

I do a good amount of commisions so it's hard to remember, I wanna say tech priest took 5-7 hrs, wave serpent was a weekend job, maybe 6 hours a night. So a total of 12-10 hrs

Did a Knight of santiago, came out okay. I need to step my photography game up, I feel like I'm not doing these models any justice.

I live over in East Tennessee actually, the airbrush work is nice but that tonka truck is a bit much for my tastes.

that what i thought when i saw the model. do you not like the model or the paint job?

Its purely the model, its just to much from a model asthetic but a splendid job though with the airbrushing. I am just to much a chimp with mine though. I need to get more airbrush paints.

Please forgive the horrible quality but here is my new Twilight Knight for Wrath of Kings. The zoom in the gallery clears it up a bit, http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/737739-.html . Its not much but I do my best to improve, I did stumble onto using white beneath red dry brushing yesterday so one step at a time right? Cameo for my Imperial Guard commander off to the side.

So that looks awesome man! I love the red hair and the basing.
Also I don't own a single pot of airbrush paint. I just use this Aztec brand airbrush acrylic thinner.
And I really do appreciate the comments. Keep painting, and if you need any painting tips just ask. And if you have any painting tips let me know.

Well, she actually has golden hair, her cloak is red and the base is only partially done, I need to put down some poison ivy around the rocks and a bit of sand as well, then I will be adding clear resin to make it look like water. She is part of House Hadross (King Tritan from little mermaid to give you an idea) army I have picked up and she was finished first. Up next is the giant crab and then the kraken!

so i do my red, with highlights of golden colors, like yellow. i saw it on my phone before, but on my computer at work, it still looks kinda red
so createx makes a line of airbrush paints called wicked color you can get at hobby lobby. stuff is awesome.

I've always hated them, I prefer vallejo myself. But yes underneath her hair it was red and a little red from dry brushing became stuck to her hair as well.

so i just use whatever. i have vallejo, citadel, tamiya/model master/reaper ect.
ive always hated createx myself. but im telling you man, this line "wicked colors for proffesionals" is awesome. the white doesnt speck, just try it. it really is good.

The white has my attention, I must investigate this further. This thread needs to be changed to "Two Hill Billies and Painting". I have to finish assembling my Japanese stuff today too so I may have to look into it tomorrow. Vallejo's Achilles heel is white in my imagination.
