My finished model, the base took a lot longer than the marine.
Plus, I don't care if you are a Primarch - WEAR A  HELMET! You can still roll plenty of

I had to use a Mk II Forgeworld upgrade sprue - kit only comes with bare head.

Ah cool. I guess I figured the Primarch bodies wouldn't suit a normal SM head. Good to know that they do!

Though I admit I think one reason they dont wear helmets is because now I might mistake him for a normal captain/centurion!

Only c&c would be to maybe give the blue helmet a more intensive highlight.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Not a fan of the helmet at all. I find it detracts from the regal look of the model. Paint's good, though; the base especially.

The base is fantastic, exactly how I imagined it would need to look to stand out. A lot of finished versions of this just had a blank concrete-looking job to it, marble was what I had in mind when I first saw it some time ago.

Agree with the others here about the base ... I am hesitant to paint him right now because I want to give the base that marble effect.
The helmet just does not fit ... it looks a little too small and is just not special enough for a Primarch.
Still, a very good job overall!

There are examples of regular space marines being near the size of primarchs. They weren't towering over their troops by TOO much...

Guys while the helmet coupd be different or golded up, the red and white was a sign of censure. His army is before the Codex Smurf came to fruitition.
The marble and that mini is great. My only 2c is maybe some gold could have blinged that helmet up.
