Hey guys! Thought Id start a blog for my 30k Salamander army! The theme around the army is that the trap has just been sprung, and the Loyalists are trying to retreat and survive while facing heavy resistance from all sides. Therefore you should expect some weathering, battle damage, blood, and corpses! I have quite a large amount of marines so far, so I have a lot to paint. Hopefully this blog will keep me focused and consistent.

Heres some models to start off with that I have fully painted and based. First I have a Contemptor in the thick of combat, some poor traitor met a horrible death to that chainfist. Then theres Ashmantl..er Cassian Dracos in the Iron Dragon (he needs some debris on the sand but hes pretty much done) Finally the big man himself Vulkan, who I'm quite happy with in his second incarnation. (first model I had met an unfortunate end with a wall and a 7 year old... )

Everything will be based in black sand with added battle rubbish.

Night lords are next after I get enough Salamanders painted so dont worry!

Both Dreads look great! Vulkan looks excellent as well. It's probably worth trying to figure out why your pics are upside down, though (ask in Nuts & Bolts) since how they appear in the thread is more important then if they're clickable for most readers.

Great stuff! Vulkan's cloak especially!
