Hey, guys. Right now it is pretty late so I doubt FW support would respond quickly to an email but, two questions.

How can I replicate this/paint this red color? Furthermore, would it pass for a tech marine when coupled with the creamy white the AM is so fond of?

looks like a nice Techmarine red to me...

which paints are you using???
this very well could be the two new Word Bearers airbrush reds, but i could easily do this with P3 Sanguine Base and Skorne Red...

I usually use Army Painter pure red, and I have most of the GW pinks and reds. I just have no idea what combination to use to get that effect.

I'd like to try P3 Sanguine and Skorne red. That sounds interesting.

On the gauntlets, would you say that is a wash around the red before it reaches the silver to darken things down on the plate, or is that the undercoat from the prior layer?

looking at the Citadel colors, i would say that Mournfang Brown would make a nice base, and then add in Khorne Red to bring it up to that nice oxblood color...

i can't say what the painter's technique was for the shading, but i would do a basecoat, then layer up, leaving a bit of the base showing around the edges, and then give it a wash using some blue in the red, before carefully layering up the red again...
i use P3 Coal Black, Sanguine Base, and P3 Flesh Wash as my shading mix for reds...
you could use Incubi Darkness, Khorne Red, and Nuln Oil to approximate the mix...

i highly recommend Sanguine Base, Skorne Red, and Khador Red Base...
the Skorne Red is better for this dark scheme, but KRB is my favorite bright red out there...
all three colors cover very well compared to others i've tried...

hope that helps...
