This idea came about from a ravager I recently looted. The general idea here is for the big mek warlord to roll on strategic shooting for stealth in ruins but possibly settling for guaranteed night fight + night vision. He also rolls on the 'irrational genius' WL table aiming for 'supa turbo-thrusta' which confers Jink to his junka. This combo would give 6 vehicles in the army a potential 3+ jink.
Big mek and flash gitz in the av12 junka.
lootas and nobz in the deffgun warkoptas.
shoota boyz in the rattler kannon warkoptas.
bustas in the looted wagons.
Thoughts?

I love it. Super mobile and nice. I'd like to see a bit more melee punch from somewhere. Maybe get some MANz in a trukk or something. Those nobz are just not that threatening. I'd be more scared of even 3 MANz with skorchaz, far more scared lol. U need a boost of some kind with rokkits with BS2, one shot isnt that accurate, so tank hunters makes it alot more deadly because each shot is a pretty decent glance chance at least.

Thanks for the response. It's still a wip concept but I agree it's short on some things, namely combat. Any ideas would be useful. I could fit some manz but a lone trukk feels out of place. Maybe a bw or swap the gitz into a warkopta idk. The other idea is to squeeze more punch from cc characters like a warboss maybe.
I want to try the nobz I think they are better than they look. 5 twin linked kombi rokkits and 20 s7 attacks plus the pain boss's klaw all at ws5 makes them a pseudo grotesque unit which is my baseline I'm working from. Nob bikers + lucky stikk bikerboss and pain boy could be another option to add some punch instead of manz, although they're expensive.

biker nobz are EXPENSIVE but it's the best way to take them if you end up doing it. The T5 lets them tank wounds like beasts. I prefer warbikers with a biker nob and a biker WB+ Painboy instead though. You can get a warboss on blitzbike w/Pklaw+Painboy+2bikers with biker nob with Pklaw for only 15 more points than 5 biker nobz with Pklaws. And you get a unit with superior firepower, FnP, more wounds, better Pklaw atks etc etc. Nobz are overall pretty bad they're just too expensive compared to the other better options you have for what nobz can do.
Did you give the Nobz big choppaz? Because you didn't list them as an upgrade but you said they have str 7, and I believe the cost would be 218 not 215 in that case.
Consider though, that for the price of the squad you have there, you could have 4 MANz with kombiskorchaz. They're ALOT meaner in CC, a heck of alot tougher with 2+ armor, and they don't need to worry about their poor BS as much, obviously shooting their shootaz isn't gonna be QUITE as effective, since they'll have 2 less shots, but these guys will survive their transport blowing up almost for sure unharmed, the nobz have a 50/50 of getting a wound taken off. You also already have lots of rokkit shooting that's more effective from the tankbustaz as well, I wouldn't worry about that, you have 2 wagonz with rokkitz as well.
You kind of lack any hardened targets with this list, a big fore magnet would be helpful in getting your other flimsy vehicles up the field. Give your opponent something to throw his rokkits/lascannons/melta at, so that it's not popping your flimsy vehicles too fast. I'd recommend a battlewagon and stick your MANz squad in it. Beef the squad up a bit so that it's a really big threat maybe a full 5 guys with a painboy and stick something nasty in there with them, like a big mek in mega armor with DLS. You could give him KFF to make this thing REALLY 'ARD but that's getting to be a real expensive deathstar in a list that is all about MSU so maybe not your style.
If you are making a big nasty CC squad I would always recommend a Pklaw Warboss in there in some configuration. DLS Megaboss is always good and fits in amazingly with meganobz, he can tank wounds for them like no other. He is also amazing in a biker mob on the blitzbike, that str6 AP3 shooting just shreds almost any infantry, and even MCs will feel the hurt. The str10 Pklaw is the real key though. That krumps just about anything in the game real fast, and will make your opponent crap himself in fear for whatever poor tank or MC is getting close to this guy.

List seems like... it could actually work. Really well. Jinking transports full of snap-shooting shootas, deffguns and rattler things? Sounds fantastic to me. Also has a nice theme of looting, and mekking - inspiring stuff! Best of luck in your games.

Nalydyn- Thanks for the in depth comments I appreciate your time and I agree with most of your points. Theres too much to quote without making a mess so I'll just hit a few comments below:
I agree regular bikers are superior to nob bikers in all respects, except 2: footprint and attrition. Warbikers are much harder to hide and harder to tank for with rerollable jink.
They also hit much weaker than nobs in protracted combats. Its a trade off. I think in this shooty meta the extra bodies and dakka gunz are usually better, but not always. I may fit a unit in anyway though idk.
On Nobz- I did include the big choppas (shown as bc/rokkits) and while I agree manz have them beat on several fronts I think theres some things that get overlooked. The biggest is manz can't ride in a warkopta. Also nobz can run, have twin linked kombi rokkits, and lastly initiative order attacks. Meh its a decent trade off, in this list anyway and I'm a sucker for units like nobz. I'll mess with a version that includes manz but my main issue is no jink on something that priority/expense makes it a huge bullseye for melta units and such..
I didn't go with a BW for the gitz like I initially intended because the ride must come from the dread mob list in order to benefit from irrational genius. Therefore av12 with jink is the best I can pull off iirc.
The other units that could access a BW from the CAD I don't feel need it as much and compared to say the two looted wagons I'd likely need to sacrifice to get it in there, but maybe I should slog the spannas instead?
Thanks for the words of encouragement fellas I'll be taking it or something like it for a spin pretty soon.
Also the contents of those rides should be firing at full BS as often as not bar damage + failed LD checks that is.

So I swapped out the nobz for manz and made the BM from the orks CAD to get a pain boss. This means rolling twice on strategic vs irrational genius just fyi. The other main difference is where the units/ICs go as shown in parenth.

Ahh sorry overlooked the bc, try capitalizing things like that makes them stand out more.
Overall I like the second list more it's got a big armored fist that will be a huge fire magnet and help keep your more flimsy transports safer to get your guys in close/grab objectives. Both of these lists I like alot though, I just prefer MANz to Nobz, especially with a BM in there repairing the BW they're not gonna need to run most likely, they can just get driven up the field to get in the enemy's face and rip em apart!
As for the hitting at initiative thing with Nobz, they don't hit anything that's a real melee threat sooner usually, except for unwieldy weapons like Pfists/axes, their initiative is pretty low, and with 2+sv the meganobz will weather the higher init. smacks from things like marines, eldar, guardsmen. The only thing that really hurts them is the AP2 at-initiative stuff like walkers and MCs, but they're also more likely to get a good round of swings that will bring those things down with higher-Str attacks and AP2. BCs are ok wih str7 on charge but str6 if they get stuck in is gonna hurt you against many types of walkers. MANz always have that str8, and Str10 on the charge is absolutely deadly.
The TL rokkits are a pretty big boon actually, and something I never really considered. I usually promote bodies>upgrades for orks and never really think about giving grots to nobz. Almost an extra boy per grot there.
