Hey everyone! I am progressing through paining my very first 40k Army!! ULTRAMARINES! Yes, the most common and boring kind of marines, but I like blue and had no idea what I was choosing when I started out

Here is what I have painted so far. Would love to hear some criticism. The ones near the back are the very first models I painted (dread, scouts, dark blue tactical squad, drop pod, razorback and rhino). The ones towards the front are what I pained over the last few weeks.

Right now I am painting: Command Squad on bikes, Centurions, Land Raider, Rhino, Drop Pods, Bike Squad, and few Librarians. Plan to be done with my army in a few weeks.

Bring on the comments I am always looking to improve.

Thanks in advanced.

PS. no idea why the images seem to be rotated, when I click on them they are fine.

Looks good from what I can tell. I'm always glad to see someone else playing the Boys in Blue. Makes me feel that all hope is not yet lost for us to change how we're viewed.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Love the shade of blue you've got there, and to echo War Kitten - it is always cool to see somebody else's Ultramarines and see what they've done with them compared to my own.

It looks really well done all around. The only gripe I have is that maybe they're too clean? Add some metalic nicks and scratches on the vehicles perhaps? Though this may be because I'm a dirty ork player who rubs agrax earthshade on pretty much everything.

Really, other than that minor detail, I think it's great. Keep it up.

There are a few places where a little wash would help bring out some details. That or drybrush a little. The drop pod looks kinda flat.

But those are minor nit picks. Overall your army looks quite nice. Always good to have more Ultramarines out there.

I'm just starting an ultra army mind telling me the colors used. They look great!
