Hey everyone, recently got a Khador force to paint and decided on colors I like. Only problem is that I Have a horrible time matching colors.

Could you all help me figure out a good base layer and highlight to achive the color in the picture shown below?

I was thinking: Deathworld Forest, Camoshade wash, ogryn camo layer?

Thanks in advance I'm not too good at this part of the hobby yet.

Does it have to be GW?

I think Vallejo Game Color / Vallejo Model Air Dead Flesh is a good match. Vallejo's Sepia wash or thinned Agrax Earthshade. Highlight with Vallejo Game Air Bonewhite.

Camoshade is green with a slight yellow-brown touch. Not good for washing yellow imho.

The guy that painted that model regularly posts of Dakka, you probably could just send him a message and ask and see if he remembers.

Just need to think of his name. I'll edit when I get off my mobile and can search.

EDIT ~ His name is odinsgrandson

No it doesn't need to be GW. Just went with familiar colors. Thanks for the recomendations! Will give those a try.

Thanks winter, I will check with him.

Gathering the Informations.

Ogryn Camo is going to be a bit too bright for anything but the extreme edges there, even washed with Athonian Camoshade(which if you were to do this you might want to wash, then bring the color back then wash it again with Agrax or Sepia).

You might want to go for Nurgling Green or Elysian Green.
