I really like this paint scheme and would like to repaint my orks but I can't come up with a way to make it fit. Does anyone have ideas how to implement it ?

I don't mind converting equipment, gear and vehicles but the orks should remain clearly visible as orks.

Yes that would work. I have seen similar paint schemes on (dark) eldar, tyranids and theentch daemons and It all worked great.
But I don't have those and am not planning to paint them. I'm stuck with 5000 pts of orks that I want to re paint and re theme before their new "codex" comes up.

I know it isn't easy to make t fit that is why I asked you guys.
I'm considering scratch building and casting some transports that are some sort of scrap metal angler fish on wheels with beaks as reinforced rams and wrecking balls as lures. I don't own that many transport vehicles so that should be fun.
But I have no Idea what to do with the bikes,Mek guns and infantry I already have. Finding a way to paint them in a deep sea fish or squid paint scheme would be perfect.

I'm really not sure that wheels will look cohesive on a fish. I would go more of a skimmer or tank option. A rhino with the door in the front dropped open as the mouth with added spikey bits? For painting, its going to be about replicating an ocean "feel". I would also and tribal war paint to the orcs as dots in a pattern with bright colors. Google is your friend, I tried " tribal dot paint" and "angler fish painting" to find these images.

I love these they would work perfectly. You have got to do the killa kans with the float rings around their waist that is too funny. For bikes you could do some sort of jet ski that would work or you could go more silly and use bikes like on SpongBob Squarepants and Squidward. You could do miniture paddleboat style for bikes

What a wonderful and original idea!
I don't know much about painting, but I do like to search for inspiration. Here's some stuff I've found, maybe it helps:

Google for the Burning Man festival, a lot of interesting vehicles can be found that way.

If you want to turn the Orks into "sea-worthy Orks", these bits might work:

- Bloodletters "back fins"
- Daemonettes of Slaanesh claws
- Dark Eldar Cronos or Talos tentacles

So my first looted fishy tanks are there. I just finished painting them metal + rust as a base. My phone isn't doesn't have the best camera but the general shape is there. They have more contrast in reality and are painted Black + Leadbelcher + multiple coats of rend and brown washes + rhyza rust( this one is really orange)
Any paint scheme suggestions to add some colour ?

Great some coloured inks or the GW shades & washes, apply a little at a time then tease out with a damp brush. Allow to dry before doing again with a different colour.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Any idea on what parts would be good to add some colour to and what points would be best to be kept metal ( I would like to keep a large part metal)

Sounds interesting, it might be fun to do. never painted miniatures in that way. I have seen it on monsters and heroes but never noticed it on a vehicle. Do you have some examples of vehicles painted with this technique.

Annoyingly no. The closest i have a pic of is this (the sword):

I'll look through what I have on the shelf tomorrow. I can knock something up pretty quickly if I can find a suitable model.

I love the armor guppies! If you want to add some color you could pick out a tooth or two or all of them; maybe even add some color to the side fin spines. I think you have a really great theme and start on this. I'm excited to see what you do with a "school" of kopta bikers.
