Ever since I started 40k, 20 years ago, I've wanted a squad of Ogryns. But other projects, real life, etc have got in the way. With a few lucky eBay purchases recently though, I've finally fixed that. These are tabletop quality only, but I think they are fantastic models, drip with character, and help give the Imperial Guard a Sci-Fi (rather than real life) quality. There's five 'classic' Ogryns of 2nd edition 40k vintage, five of the more recent incarnations, and a plastic Nork Deddog.

There is not this idea.

Neat to see the various eras like that. One small thing is that it looks like you could have thinned out your paint for the green parts a bit more. At least, it looks a bit thick in these pictures, that may be from the lighting.

Completely right toasteroven. Two things together - using a slightly different green to normal [Kabalite Green rather than a Caliban Green / Dark Angels Green], and the fact some of the metal models were previously painted before a paint stripping exercise - meant the green is a bit thick in places. But I'm still really happy with the overall effect and squad(s).

Yeah, that's always a problem with models that were already painted on, isn't it.

Didn't say it before, but I really like the depth and detail on their faces.
