Hello and welcome to my new paint blog!
I will be slowly back filling with previous projects that I have done, and hopefully will be posting some newly finished projects as well! I am an ADD painter. I wish I could sit and paint an entire army in one go, but I get bored! That said, there may not be an order or structure to my projects!
Background:
I started playing warhammer back in July 2014, where my initial goals were to buy used models off ebay, and play the game.... that has certainly changed for the better! Quickly, after buying the Dark Vengeance starter, I found myself painting and liking it! My first models I painted were a squad of Dark Angel space marines, soon to follow by some deathwing knights. I thought I was the best painter ever and showed them off to my local crew ("yeah! great job.... *cough* *cough*") I had much to learn =)
My current army's:
* Iyandan Eldar
* Farsight Enclaves Tau
* Hive Fleet Ro'Shan Tyranids
* (New!) Castellen's Demi-Company Grey Knights (my own Nemesis Strike Force for a local campaign)
Goals: Record keeping, growth, criticism, and sharing experiences!

First Character:
Dark Angels Librarian, model from the Dark Vengeance kit. Slayed many enemies! Periled more times than he can remember! I thought this guy was amazing. On the table he looks top notch, but as you can see, I had much to learn! My paints were thick and some of the primer is still showing through! I had little experience with any techniques whatsoever!
Imperial Fists:
After jumping around chapters for quite some time, I landed on Imperial Fists (Sentinals of Terra). This was my first painted army that I did, and where my growth as a painter took a leap in the right direction. Painting yellows teaches you so much!

Automatically Appended Next Post: Hive Fleet Ro'Shan
Some of you may recognize the name from my favorite MOBA. I first started Tyranids because I was looking to a change. I had been painting power armor continuously for too long. Wanted something different. Nids gave me that new approach.
I personally found working on organics relaxing. And so, whenever I feel too stressed to paint my other armies, I hop over to my favorite monsters! I will eventually be creating a backstory to the origin of my fleet, which will help explain why I run my army the way I do in games!
Super simple fluff -- all models that have more than 1 wound must take adrenal glands!
Painted Hive Fleet Members:
* Hive leader Ro'Shan - Flying Tyrant, Adrenal Glands, Reaper of Obliterax, Ymgarl Factor, Electroshock Grubs
* Zoanthrope Brood w/ Neurothrope
* 30 Termigaunts
* 2 Venomthropes
Hive Leader Ro'Shan: *i realized this is not an updated photo, i have since painted all of the claws and washed the body again, to give him some more depth.
Neurothrope:
Swarm of the minions! (gaunts):
Automatically Appended Next Post: Eldar Craftworld Eldar + Harliquins
After painting Imperial Fists, I found myself really liking the look of a fully painted yellow theme on the tabletop. Tired of marines, I found Craftworld Iyanden. A very work in progress army, I only have select models fully painted. I have been slowly building up the motivation to finish the rest!
My Iyanden army I view as a recon force ahead of the front lines, usually accompanied by Harlequin Skyweaver formations, and even the occasional appearance of a Solitaire.
Council:
Prince Yriel
2 Farseers
4 Warlocks
Detachments:
2 Farseer Skyrunners
4 Windrider Squads
2 Vypers
1 Crimson Hunter Exarch
1 Hemlock
Wraithhost:
1 Spiritseer
15 Wraithgaurd
2 Wraithlords
1 Wraithknight
Here is what I have so far!
Farseer Skyrunner w/ Shining Spear: I really wanted to keep Craftworld colors a priority here, so the Farseer was dressed in a yellow robe and helm. The bike I wanted to tone down to help showoff the Farseer himself, so I kept it a darker mustard color.
* TODO - Give some Iyanden love with some insignia on the bike.. It needs something, maybe you can help me decide what?
Solataire: Absolutely loved the model, and when it was released I had to paint one. First time painting such dark gradients (black->purple), so i definitely learned a few tricks painting this guy.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Grey Knights
Newest project and first time back to painting power armor in a long period. To start I will be painting up a small kill teams force for an upcoming campaign! I plan on doing a full display for my Grey Knights, and every model will be done at a Character level for a little extra detail.
Kill Teams Squad:
* Knight of the Flame
* 3 Strike Marines w/ Halberds
* 2 Interceptors w/ Hammers
* Purifier w/ Psycannon
I did the
KOTF first, I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on him?
