Well here is the start. I knew one day I would start a HH army, but time and money never came around until they released those amazing box sets! So I snagged up two boxes and now I have a great foundation for a decent sized army. I hope 30k begins to grow a bit more in my area as I would like to actually play them in the correct setting and not have them stand in for their 40k siblings. So, anyways...I know you guys really just want to see pictures of Imperial Fists and such, so...Here ya go!

I was wondering how I'd paint that guy as well, the best way does seem to be as you are doing it.
That's a good solid yellow, great stuff so far.
I look forward to seeing more. Subbed

Thanks! I'm going to keep pumping them out as I can this week and the next. So far I'm working on the dreads and doing some cutting. Surprisingly as static as they come, they can be changed fairly easy with a few cuts at the joints.

Wow. Looking good. I've always wanted ro have an imperial fists army, but that much yellow always daunted me. You seem off to a great start though!

YES! Someone used AoS minis to do 40k! I've been pondering some truescale conversions for some time, and that custode looks awesome. Looks like you have a good foundation there buddy. The paint scheme is looking solid, and i'm a fan of that contemptor pose - a simple yet effective stance. Also, would we be able to get another shot of that captain of yours? Captains are always my favourite minis, and yours is no exception. I would love to see that cloak from a different angle

Gotta say everyone's compliments have really spurred me on a bit more to work on these guys! Obviously it's going to be a long project so hang in there with me! But on another note...I have some more pictures!
Here is the work on my contemptor dread! I haven't fixed the assault cannon barrels onto the main gun yet, so he looks a bit odd right now. A tad bit less static than how he came.

Another stunning captain model! Love the kitbashes you're coming up with. The dread looks great too - really chunky and purposeful. Will be even more so i'm sure when the barrels get added

Well time for another update! I really haven't had a chance to sit down and start painting anything yet. I've been caught up in just building the models! Perhaps I tend to enjoy modeling more than painting...But I also have some other things I've been working on for a friend of mine. So...Here we go!
I had some FW models that I really never had a plan for in my BT army, so I decided to make use of them. I still don't know what I can make with them...Possibly a command squad?
The Chaplain model. I decided to turn him into something else...Another captain or something? I dunno...I have two of these guys so I want to make them different from one another.
Now this guy is a real Chaplain. I don't know much about the pre-heresy chaplain order, but if they used the same style of skull work then this guy will fit right at home.
Another Custodial guard I am slowly...slowly...working on.
My first Primarch! Roboute Guilliman! But...He's not really mine. He belongs to a buddy of mine which I offered to paint for him.
Funny story about this guy... FW sent me 2 of them when the first order took about 2 months to get to me and they couldn't figure out where he went. But this is still the first one.
Keeping with the theme of the character series...Here is the Typhon model I painted up for my buddy as well!
And now...This is my army so far! The 532nd Company of the Imperial Fists led by Captain Idris.

As I'm working on my fists, I decided to add some Custodes to hang out with them. Mostly just for the modeling aspect of it and I really love the AoS models.

So as a gift for my Dad I decided to get him a tie fighter model as he not only brought the world of Star Wars into my life, but also modeling as well. But I knew he wouldn't have the time to build and paint it...so I did that part for him. A little side step from my Fists, hope you all don't mind it!

I've been thinking of picking up some Sigmarines to use as Custodes myself. Is that where you've built yours from?

Nice Morat and the Custodes is coming along nicely too! Really like that TIE Fighter as well, and it's always a breath of fresh air to get Star Wars and scale models in here. What model brand is it? Doesn't look like the Revell snap-fit one, but too big to be the Finemolds 172 one/

History of the VII Legion's 88th company, 332nd Battalion, 532nd Company which is commanded by Captain Bannon Idris.
Current deployment under Captain Yonnad of the Retribution Fleet.
Strength- Unknown
Status- Unknown
Data-
The 532nd Company serves as a battle company of the 332nd Battalion. It's primary combat skill set is urban warfare and counter insurgency. The 532nd company is outfitted with standard battle company equipment and manning, except for it's extensive use of veteran tactical squads and seeker teams. They have extended their expertise beyond that of defense and siege, while still highly capable defenders, the 532nd prides themselves in their cunning use of misdirection and infiltration. While used as an occupation force, the 532nd leads strike forces against known resistances still aiming to fight against the might of the Imperium. Current strength is largely unknown due to communication troubles from the Retribution Fleet, but records indicate Captain Idris and his warriors arrived with the rest of the fleet and awaited further orders from Captain Yonnad.

It has been far too long since I updated and I haven't done much in terms of work on them sadly. I am actually waiting to get my hands on an airbrush set to speed things along. With as many models as I have for this army it would take me forever to hand paint them!

So, as of lately I haven't had much motivation to build/paint as I'm waiting to get my hands on an air brush. Now, I have used one before, perhaps somewhere like 13 years ago. But, what would be a good first brush and compressor? Also, GW paints?
