I thought I'd just start a general thread and keep everything in one place. I am forever starting new projects and never completing them, mainly due to the fact I suck at painting. I play 40k, Necromunda, Blood Bowl and Space Crusade. I'm more of a collector and gamer rather than a painter, but I also like making conversions. I have created some Eldar versions of the Imperial Assassin's just to add a bit of variety to my game, I have a thread for this which I will update some day and will add the pictures in here at some point.

As per usual I have been distracted by something else. In this case it is my update of the Space Crusade figures. I started this about 7yrs ago, got all the bits ordered and started putting them together, but then as we stopped playing the game I lost interest in finishing the project. I've recently started playing again with a work colleague, so am hopefully going to at least get the conversions completed, if not everything painted up. I loved the original models, but they are all so static and akin to chess pieces. Hopefully my conversions give a bit more character to the models.

Work has blocked access to thing like photo bucket and dropbox, so have tried to attach the pictures to the thread (not done this before). I have done the power fist/sword combo and the axe/bolt pitsol combo captains. I wanted to use the original weapons to tie them to the game artwork. This wasn't doable with the cpts, other wise I would just end up with 3 static models again, but I have used the heavy weapons and I have completed a blood angel assault cannon guy. I think he looks pretty badass.

Cool. I like the ultra marine axe conversion.

BA with the assault cannon looks awesome too.

Thanks, I think that is my favourite Cpt model. My least favourite is the one with sword above his head, think the pose is off but can't put my finger on it. I've just re-positioned it, but still looks a bit awkward. The heavy weapon models have the SC hands attached to the weapons, and they're slightly smaller than 40k ones, but hopefully not too noticeable.
