Greetings all!

I am happy to announce there will be an Age of Sigmar event Saturday night at this year's CaptainCon in Warwick, Rhode Island. Join us for an evening of Age of Sigmar shenanigans and competitive play, battling across 3 mortal realms to experience a variety of themed missions. We will be using the UK's Clash pool system for list creation and deployment. Succinctly, you bring 25 pools worth of units (http://www.scrollbuilder.com is a handy resource for this!) but only deploy a subset, alternating drops with your opponent to counter their choices on the fly.

For details on the venue and Con please check out: http://captaincon.com

For details on the missions (and a run-down on our composition) check out: this Google Doc

To register, please visit this link, but note space is limited and we are already 75% full. So if you are interested, don't wait to grab your spot!

These are also the same missions that will be used at this year's NOVA event, so stop on by and get some experience prior to that event.

We hope to see you there!

Wish I could attend and glad you're using the Clash system.

Apologies if I missed it, but Mission 1 talks about single-wound models being needed for escorting the ward. Where does this leave Stormcast, who have no single-wound models? Ogres as well, beside Gnoblars.

Great question!

We have really embraced the fact that there are only really four armies now (Order, Chaos, Destruction, Death), rather than constraining anyone to one singular race. We also went a much less restrictive route with regards to what could be in your list (the only real restriction is on the number of heroes, compared to the much longer guidelines used by "official" Clash comp). However, to balance all of this newfound flexibility out, we turned to missions designs that encourage certain types of units appear, and thus (hopefully) support list diversity.

As a result, both Ogres and Stormcasts are welcome and encouraged to branch out into their other faction's races (at least for this mission). If the player absolutely has no interest in branching out and wants to remain "pure," we found in playtesting that both forces have the tools to adopt a very defensive approach, erecting a perimeter around the Ward to prevent their opponent from getting to it (and then playing for the secondary objectives).
