Ancient Space Wolves Venerable Dreadnought

I... actually don't know. Help?

As you see in the picture below, I've made a base for display/photo purposes. Since it's for Space Wolves, I've decided to add runes. I just want to know if they look good? Are they too dull? Should I add some red?
Also, that's all the runes in the futhark alphabet... and I'm only halfway done. Help!

Easiest way to do it would be draw it out finely with a pencil first, then trace it with a paintbrush, also I think a brighter colour would be a good idea to bring them out more.

Because it's you, and you know I'm not being mean for the sake of it, I'm going to say no, fella, those don't work. They're letting down the rest of your (excellent) piece.
They're unclear, the two circles are wonky which is really distracting as you drew them so boldly, and the size of the lettering is possibly far too big to imagine 28mm SW put it there. Look at the size of the runes on their armors for comparison.

Can you paint this back to the stone colours as a starting point?

I'd suggest looking at pieces like the Balin's tomb GW made, and studying some pictures of Celtic runes. Usually they are carved into the surfaces. You could easily do that with a scalpel or even a sharp ballpoint, and then use inks or even "glowing" effects to give it a boost. A space wolf will not be using chalk.

Draw around something to get even, parallel circles, but break them occasionally. Again look at how carvings are done, breaking up the shape gives an impression of how hard the surface being cut into is.

That said, this will look epic, mate if your past constructions are anything to go by.

The black on dark grey doesn’t stand out particularly well.

You might want to look into micra pens. Much easier then then a brush for work like this.

I agree you need even circles. To do the runes, space them well and start with a thick black line, use this as your outline then paint inside the same thing slightly smaller in a light blue, then repeat with a lighter blue, then around the outside of black line paint the surrounding stone with light blue thinned with lahmium medium, this will make them look like they're glowing.
