Hello all, I am a newcomer to the Dakka forum so here is my first log.
What can I say, I usually prefer to paint Space Wolves, but lately i've been painting a Sisters of Battle army. I've been painting for about 5 years now and I aspire to become a private commission painter once I can get my work out there. So, without further dilly dallying, here are my sisters:

Alpha Legion lord is coming along nicely. Are you using the washes over a silver/metallic base coat technique.

Painting looks good, the only thing killing it for me is that mold line running up both arms on that Alpha lord. The metallic is looking very nice, but those mold lines gotta go! Especially if you aspire to be a commission painter as you say.

@evildrcheese Yeah, undercoating in silver and then going over it with Tamiya clear with an airbrush

@Squallbuddy Thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it! Forgive my ignorance, but to which mould lines do you refer? I'm afraid I can't see them but perhaps i'm just missing them.

Sorry BlackIce, pretty sure i saw them, maybe its just the angle of the picture or the poor ancient sculpts on GW's part XD
In this pic I circled what I thought were mold lines, or what appear to be mold lines. If they are not Ill edit my post and take my "GRRR MOLD LINES!!!" With me ^.^

Now that I look at it more closely, I think there may actually be some minuscule mould lines that I didn't notice before. Due to the angle of the photo they may appear more pronounced than they actually are. That being said, I think I may just go in with a hobby knife and fix those. Good eye and thanks for the heads up!

Sorry lol, I definitely wasn't trying to be TFG! They just caught my eye. I just started doing commission work and it's amazing what you can see in a photo after painting this whole model and never seeing it... Best wishes toward getting into commission painting! Just make sure you love to paint and don't overload yourself!

No worries at all! It was a good catch and I can certainly sympathize with finishing an entire mini just to notice all of the imperfections on camera. I wish you luck as well with your service
