Picked up some scouts so that I could field a small allied marine detachment for my GK. Didn't like the standard heads (oddly squat I thought) so I swapped them out for the base heads from GK terminators (and Draigo's bare head on the sergeant, if I recognize the bit correctly).

Also shortened the rifles. Intent was to make them look more like bolters (want the camp cloaks), but in the end I couldn't find a place to add a magazine that I was happy with, so just short looking rifles was the end result.

A few action shots from their debut game.

Nice work. Did you have to cut down where the head joins the body at all? I've had a similar dilemma with Scouts as I don't like the heads supplied with the models and am looking for alternatives.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Yeah, cut off the ball joint on the terminator head. Then cut an angled wedge out of the base of the head on whatever part of the head will be facing backward (ie: back of head or side of head if you're putting the head on turned). It took surprisingly little work to make it fit pretty well actually.
