Basic idea is simply to make the Empire Handgunner from the Fantasy line and make them fit into 40k as guardsmen from a slightly behind-the-time world. I also have been playing Fallout 4 and people familiar with the game will know of the laser musket. The idea is to modify the normal muskets that they use into something like that and I'm trying to think of the best way to do that and was hoping for some ideas from you guys. Bear in mind, I'm gonna make about 30-40 of these guys so the changes cant be super intensive in design since I'll have to be doing it a lot.

Simple would be to cut down the barrel on top. Like make it a small groove. Then paint that part red to imitate that laser musket. Maybe green stuff a small power pack.

I snipped the las tips and put them on muskets like this. The crossbow can also be used. Those are quick conversions is did but I have 40 guys in various stages of completion so I went with quick and easy. The galvanic rifles would also work for a minute men force.
