Painted these guys to a tabletop standard for a "mates-rates" commission, but I did become pretty invested in them across the process. Did them in around 3 months which I was really happy with considering I don't paint for particularly big sessions.

Bases were done in reddish brown and some shrubs and dead grass was added. The miniatures were painted as they came bar a few alterations so keeping load-outs accurate to the army lists was not necessary; it was more a 'I want my collection painted for display' rather than 'I need a completed warhammer army' job. Hence why the vets were converted from Space Wolves.

Pretty good job, they're quick and dirty but I'm sure they look effective from a couple of feet away, which is the point. The OSL on the blue looks really good, on the green not so much; maybe make the green lighter so it looks more like a glow rather than alien blood? Agree that the freehand on the banner came out great.

I was really happy with the end result I would've chosen a colour scheme that used fewer colour personally, but this actually worked really well. I also found I was able to complete an entire force start to finish if I put a few months work in; a first as usually I'll add to stuff over the course of a year or more unit by unit.
