Hi guys,

Just wanted to upload some pics of my Necromunda terrain that I've been working on over the last year having gotten back into the game!

I wanted to go for a very rusty industrial wasteland look and hopefully I've achieved that to some extent.

I accept that the tones are a bit lacking in variety but i plan to add a few spot-colours to help break up the rusty orange somewhat. Things like graffiti and industrial lettering/numbering should do the trick.

I also need to do something with the hardboard board which is literally just painted grey with nothing else done to it. All in all, the pieces didn't take very long to produce but i think they do a good job of quickly capturing the vibe of the hive!

Let me know what you think - or better still share your Necro scenery as I love seeing what others do!

thanks all

Looking good, I've got the same MDF terrain. What paints did you use?

Amazing! I may need to add some of this MDF stuff to my board. Does it need treating before you paint it to prevent warping?

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

I am the lucky man who gets to play with Flemtop on this amazing set of scenery.

I love his photos but they fall short of showing just how intricate, detailed and professional the final result is. He's such a talented scenery maker and it's always great fun playing against him and using his own constructions, even if his pesky Escher gang has won the last 2 games.

Flemtop always puts in the hours to make the scenery look absolutely top-notch, and I'm very lucky to play with someone so dedicated and talented. Have you seen his Squiggoth?! It's amazing! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/606595.page

So thanks, Flemtop, and very much looking forward to the next game!

Ah thanks for all the kind words guys! I used basic acrylic paints froma craft shop (hobby craft) and they only cost me about £4 each - still going strong! I used a basic brown on top of a heavy dry brush of lead belcher, followed by stipples red and then stipples Orange.

The mdf terrain I found on eBay and think I got the whole lot for less than 50quid which was a bargain. No sign of warping and took a basic black undercoat spray perfectly. I would thoroughly recommend. Then it was just a case of breaking the uniformity up with granny mesh, detritus, coragated card, plasticard, rivets wire mesh and other odds and sods.

I will update this thread with pics of the Escher gang I'm running as i am particularly pleased with the way they came out. They are called "The WI" or Wicked Institute. Moon dogs will do the same just as soon has he's finished his (he's a perfectionist) and we'll have our first crack at a bat rep for you guys.

@D4V always up for trying new things! Haven't played with anyone outside my immediate friendship circle but am getting better with the rules so would jump at the chance of expanding the campaign!

Please excuse any spelling in this post - ipad + no sleep = crap response :-(

But thank you again for all the positivity - makes me want to make more!

This is awesome. I love industrial terrain. I can see what you mean by needing more colour variety, but if you hadn't mentioned it I probably wouldn't have noticed.

Hi guys! Just wanted to share with you a few more snaps and some updated terrain pieces from my latest battle between my girls - The W.I. (Wicked Institute) and my arch enemy, The Hive Lords. I realised that I haven't actually uploaded any pics of my gang yet so will upload those in just a moment!

I hope you enjoy!
