Hey guys I am looking to do my tau in a gold colour as a main. What do you recommend as a secondary color to complement it. Black seems fairly plain. The guy on far left is what I was planning

Red, blue or purple are the obvious choices, but green could work well too.

Black as a secondary with some red as a spot colour and blue or green for OSL, I was going to go with gold before too for Tau.

That looks awesome.. Did you wash the gold with anything? Anyone else have any gold armies they want to share

It was mostly the retributor gold spray over black primer with some light vgc polished gold (I think auric armour gold would be closest) drybrush, like really light, then some nulin oil mostly just the recesses to add depth to it.

The annoying part of it though would be the masking for the spray which is why I didn't continue with it.

If painting it by hand I'd say use a brown base to paint the gold on and thin coats up to the brightness you want. Helps it have a more solid looking coat over using black as a base.

I'm almost dead-set on painting my Bretonnians gold so they look like kind of like Stormcast on horses. I'm getting a lot of the models I need, just isn't my priority project right now so pics might not be out for a while.
