This is my first foray into 40K. Here is the beginnings of my Ork army. The more I paint, the better the technique gets. I paint in pieces then assemble because it makes batch painting such large numbers easier and the OCD in me can't take that parts of them aren't fully painted...

Thanks. Model train talus on some and sand from winter traction sand bags on the others. Washed in blue, turquoise and white acrylic paint, then coated with clear refractive/glitter paint to make them sparkle. Medium olive model train brush for the bushes. I was going for an Alaska snow Ork theme (hence the blue and gold accent colors).

At first, I thought you were going for some sort of aquatic theme, as if the Orks were walking up out of the ocean. Then I read your comment about the winter theme. I think it looks really good!
