Origins: Public Knowledge in the Imperium is that we have lost the records of our founding date in the time that has passed since the The Imperial Tarot decreed that a new successor chapter be founded. Unknown exactly when it happened, All records were lost, When the bearers of History and our Librarian's were lost in battle with the xenos on world Zustasa. We were cut off for a fair lengthy amount of time from the Imperium due to a warp storm, during that time our records were destroyed in the battle to purge the xenos from our new home world.
The truth is alot more complex and known only to the highest of circles within the unforgiven and to the watchers upon The Rock.. ..the chapter has only returned to Imperium but a single year ago. Many assests are still in transit from the far east, we were seperated within the warp. We arrived following the directions of what we can only call a Praetor of sorts.. who would would bear the sword of Lion el'jonson? His very name a Title amoughst the oldest of Orders.. We listened, as we were lost Beyond the Light of the Throne and he had the Authority, or so we thought. So we obeyed. His directions were unearing, though he lead us not to caliban but to The Rock where things were explained and the Zustasa System was assigned to us, as well as new librarians as none of our stock were suitable for the training. We choose to hunt those you call fallen. But we ourselves consider no shame to be forgiven upon the 4th -We were Loyal and sent through time and space while fighting upon Caliban itself. If their was any shame, our journey home served as a purification pilgramidge.
Gene-Seed: 100% Pure Dark Angel Gene-seed.
Codex Demeanor: Scions of Mars: Before the Heresy the 4th Chapter served as a part of an exploratory force that may have recovered a sdc and retrieved a few knights and a titan from the mists of time. At least the records upon Mars say. No questions were asked when an order was placed for new materials under the old name, the order was recieved very prompty along with a trio of tech marines and small batch of servators to start work within Zustasa System at rebuilding.
Chapter Flaw: Pride in Colours. The chapter takes great pains to always maintain their arms and armour in the most pristine of condition taking good care of the ancient machine spirits that have kept them safe over the long years..
Figures of Legend: Three heroes of this Chapter stand out amoungst the others.
Chief Apothecary:Once we were forced to land he was the sole surviving member of the Apothecarium to withstand the crush of the landing so roughly upon the world of Larosia V. He kept our seed safe until others could be trained. His name is lost to the mists of time, but He is remembered.
Brother Bastion: Slew a demon prince with a true shot of his bolt pistol. He now bears a ritual copy of the Leon's Blade that Cypher bore.
Chapter Master Narloina: Discovered the xenos race of Zustasa, which had sprung up over the remnants of an old colony, following the imperial doctrine, they were cleansed with fire, the planet now being a dead world after the fighting. Somehow the Zustasans were able to convince the machine spirits of a Titan and Knightly house to serve them. That is why there were destroyed to the last. MARS has examined the relics and deemed them safe to recovered, uncorruptium and charged the chapter with maintaining them, rites and ceremonies were tought to the Tech-Marines, once they verified that the Chief Apothecaries work on the Seed was accurate and pure.
Homeworld: Fleet Basted

Recruitment: 3 Imperial Planets.
1: Zustasa III Dead, Uninhabited world. This cold dead world bears ruminants of another xenos race apparently unrelated to the Zustasa that disappeared some time millions of years ago. This is the home planet of the chapter, it was set up to keep watch from space upon the planet for signs of why there were created. Strange metal warriors and greenskins have been seen upon this world.
2: Larosia V Medieval world, Temperate Planet, System Name Larosia (beyond the eastern fringe). It is a Very distant rule, the short, stout people of this planet do not know that their champions become marines, they think they go to the sun to serve the grand smith in the sky. This world does battle with greenskins, but there are a few packs of Warhounds to keep them in check if they become too strong of a ..problem.
3: Zustasa IV Death world, Wasteland Planet. This was the only inhabated planet of the Zustasa where the xenos were purged. Marines travel here to challenge themselves against the creatures that were twisted in the battle. Some imperial citizens have settled here, enough that the Chapter was able to draw upon their numbers since it has returned to replenish its losses.
Organizational structure:
Divergent Chapter from Dark Angel Standards when fully deployed for battle in this manner..
Company 1-2 Per Dark Angel Chapter, remaining of forces to return to Larosia System.
Company 3 Legion sized battle company, has not yet been split into the modern fighting style format.
Company 4 and 5 are to the new standard size battle companies 2 and 3 Melta and Plasma Companies.
Both of the Reserve Tactical Companies, the Reserve Assault Company and theReserve Devastator Company have been activated into Battle Companies 4, 5, 6.
Company 9 is made up of 4 Assault Squads, 4 Devastator Squads with the tactical squads being deployed as drivers in various vehicles or to other duties.
If, the Lion Orders it, all the Aspirants of Company 10 are to be transformed into another battle formation as though they were an Imperial Guard Platoon with whatever is left within the armory.
Combat Doctrine
Codex Compliant beyond the four reserve companies being activated with the remainder forming the 9th company with the addition of the two squads of Tactical Marines detailed to pilot assorted vehicles and maintain the watchers quarters.
Beliefs of the Chapter
Revere the Patriarch, to a lesser extend the Lion is a totem animal. Above all we are loyal the man to Leon, we obeyed Cypher because he bears Leon's Sword, his authority.

the chapter as I buillt it on paper is about 42000 points. so atm im sitting on almost 7 percent of the chapter so far assembled.

Subject: The Dark Angels are mustering.. What for?
Word of advice when using the phone to snap photos. Make sure you're holding it landscape and with the home button on the right hand side. Otherwise Dakka's photo uploader will flip the image sideways on.
in the past 20 days ive accomplished a little bit with the chapter.
behind the scenes ive got a list of individual figures I need as well a list of what packs I need to muster.
my computer died its been brought back to life. gotta retype out who has what for points. bday is today so treated myself to a battle demi company to give balthasar some more msn under his command.
ive done some painting.
mostly done full squads include
interrogator chaplain on bike, my first "mod"

Have 20 dw terminators that are just primed. Dont have a good bone color yet to do primary color with.

Your dark Angels successor chapter reminds me of my orks...large number of assembled models without much paint. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Everytime I get everyone I've got assembled all lined up to paint, I end up ordering more reinforcements either from ebay, amazon, Gw, fw.
For example, everything lined up with no paint on, or just black (cept ravenwing) is newly gained within the past week from an eBay win.
Dark vengeance x2 is painted, battle demi Co is painted, cept j packs for assault.
Reinforcements are coming from eBay again this week, hh veterans for squads and assorted weapons from the bitsellers. Another 60 guys.
More reinforcements also at the lgs sometime this week. Traded mtg cards for another 125 guys..
Basically I've almost only got regular bolter marines left or such, beyond vehicles and assault squads.
On the eBay can find unpainted guys for the cheep, bits for cheep that folks sell off.
I'll have to paint the guys I have and such before I order anything new. That's my goal for may.. everything on hand assembled and painted by june-ish.

Which brings me to this update to the Leonis Imperatoris Chapter. 10095 Points, Counting unbound squads. or 9290 members of the Chapter present for muster. Counting Allies of Knights i do have a bound list thats over 10k.. Im pretty happy.
I need 7 Thunderwolf Calvary, 3 cyberwolves, 30 more fenrisian wolves to finish out the wolfpack flanking force. (i have 32/47 fenrisan wolves, 1 secret hq (that will get shown first time when whole force is ready) and 3/10 Calvary thats unbound )
I have 5 unbound Devastator squads 805 points also for the chapter..
Next post will contain the lists of who all is in the lions blades and strike forces.. ITs alot to type and its 94* in my gaming garage.. ac wont be here til next saturday.. i hope the guys and paints dont melt. I gotta go in and cool off, ill type it out later tonight.

I am happy with my progress at painting and modeling at the start of 8 months into the hobby.
I cant wait to see what all ive learned a year from now.
It will be interesting to see at the year mark, how far into the chapter ive come with things. I did decide i dont want to do all the thunderhawks, thats basically a motorcycle and snowmobile i could have instead.

Well I just assembled the 3rd Lions Blade Strike Force on the table downstairs. Seems ive got some weapons that need to be done. Somehow i just straight up lost 3 of the plasma cannon marines from the 2nd dev squad.. and ive got one too many plasma guns in the assault squad. So ive got some work to do to get them squared away. Not to mention the sgt and his three plasma cannon marines that are mia.
I did start work on the 1st figure of the 1st Lions Blade Strike Force/ 30k Legion Force. (3rd company 40k/ and my 30k force)
Librarian Markonus is painted side from a tad cleanup.
i shared that in the 30k da group on fb and a couple guys thought i was trolling. I just had a lesson in what thinning paint ment. id just used the paints at the consistency that they come out of the paint containers. Id never heard of thinning it out until tonight.
Thanks EDC. i used to drink alot of milk, so i know what that is like. only the metalics are that thin. the others are far thicker. some almost like guinness or even like jam/preserves.

The rest of Battle Company 3, Lions Blade Strikeforce 3, is all present for muster on one of the tables, just going thru final inspection and touch ups.
Im taking a few days break from the lion's forces while i admire them; and working on finishing up the thunderwolf cavalry for the wolfpack flanking force ive got allied, as well as the two cyber-lions that will be keeping a close and watchful eye on Canis Wolfborn, in leu of his standard wolves. Canis was challenged and defeated by the Chapter's Champion of the Ravenwing and the flanking force answers that old debt when its called in.

Ive got the two squads of the allied space wolf flanking force finished. Some of the wolf packs got loose and are deployed around the property keeping watch for me. I can account for 48 or so of the 60 wolves. Inadverntly made 2 6 man squads of the Cavalary so i made two banner men and they are flanking the maybe still secret HQ, looking cool but Just acting as normal thunderwolfs, not riders with boltguns and axes.
Ill be moving back out to the garage this week so there are going to be ALOT alot Alot of Photos forthcoming. (not to mention cleaning and moving of stuffs )
as well as the loadouts for the companies still in transit from beyond the eastern fringe. Which ive been putting off posting for a bit, as i wanted to play test the various weapons before finalizing whos got what beside the following.
Company 3: Special Weapon ->Flamer + Heavy Weapon -> Missile Launchers 1 Veteran, 1 Command Squad 3 Dreadnought unit
Company 4: Special Weapon ->Melta+ Heavy Weapon -> Multi Melta 1 Veteran, 1 Command Squad 3 Dreadnoughts unit

Each of those companies forms a Lions Blade Strike Force #1, #2, #3 respectively.
Each of those Lions Blade Strike Forces Consists of the following parts.
-Command: Psyker Level 2
- Deathwing Redemption Force (-Level 1 Librarian or Interrogator Chaplain leading it. with2 Units Deathwing Terminators)
-2 Ravenwing Attack Squadrons with Appropriate Landspeeder.
-1 Ravenwing Support Squadron with Darkshroud
-1 Hammer of Caliban with Appropriate vehicles from the Armory
-3 Drop Pods (Assault squads and Veteran Squad)
-8 Rhino (Tactical, Devastator)
-1 Damocles Command Vehicle (cmd squad)
company 10
The Neophites will be broken down into an Imperial Guard Regiment
The Scouts, all they have done is died gloriously in battle, so unsure what to do with them. have 1 CCW and 1 sniper squad at full strength.
Which leaves the support companies 6-7-8-9 to deal with.
3 more lions blade strike forces.
all in razorbacks (smaller squad sizes as most of these guys are driving all the vehicles for the various strikeforces)
double the deathwing per strikeforce.
keep the ravenwing the same.
Use fire when there is no matching special or heavy weapon for the RW or DW.
These each will use Interrogator Chaplains to ensure that no fallen have infiltrated the ranks.
There are no reserve companies for the Leonis Imperatoris, we are as they say in poker "All In"
