So I've decided that I don't like the huge Exalted Seeker Chariot of whips and blades, or at least that I'd like to be able to put down something that would replace it.

So I'm interested in what beasts people think might suit a conversion into a warbeast of doom for Slannesh or if anyone has seen similar conversions that might give some inspiration.

In the Warp, getting trolled by Tactical_Spam, AKA TZEENTCH INCARNATE

The Gorebeast chariot has, well, the Gorebeast, which is a pretty neat Chaos beast in my opinion. Maybe you could have a Slaaneshi lord stand on its back?

Tactical_Spam: Ezra is fighting reality right now.

War Kitten: Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...

War Kitten: Ezra can steal reality

Kharne the Befriender:Took him seven years but he got it wrangled down

A hydra.

I think a hydra would make an interesting slaaneshi warbeast.

I'm not sure why.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

You don't like the chariot itself, or the beasts pulling it, or both? (I presume you don't mind the Daemonettes, unless you have none elsewhere in the army)

From the GW fluff, all the hooks and blades and spikes do make sense, so seems a good idea for any counts-as model to also be extremely spikey. So I'd look as other monsters that can be Slaanesh-'blessed' (i.e. mutated) into becoming super-spikey (via glued on spikes and/or green-stuff). Within GW's own range (if that's important to you), the obvious candidate would be the goblin giant spider or one of the dragons or ogre beasts.

Not a warbeast but alternative units on one base. Might be hard to find now, but I was thinking 2 or 3 of Sepuchral Stalkers (ebay?) rolled out on a 120x92mm oval base, and sticking daemonettes on their backs.

That or a unit of Wild Riders/Sisters of thorn converted with Slaaneshi claws and painted up nice could look the part too?

Hydra would be interesting and the dark elves have a few other units like their tentacle pristess that I've thought would make good heralds (I know a good few are also using dark elf troops for deamonettes)

Lots of spikes is certainly on my mind, It's not that I think the chariot is bad, just very "thin" and light for a weapon of war and that slannesh needs another "beast" besides the typical mounted cavalry that they have. I have been thinking that the Magmadroth (or other names) might be a suitable if very expensive option - though its a touch bulky I feel for Slannesh.

Those sound like neat ideas for mounted units, though if I went for alternative mounts I'd probably go with cold-ones. That said I'm (very slowly) gathering up some of the old deamonetts on mounts for my mounted units. Shame that the undead stuff is getting harder to get, though the Warsphinx has been interesting me as potential as its a bit more lithe than the Magmadroth.

I've also considered the Cockatrice although I think it looks more like something for Tzeentch than Slannesh

Yeah, Dark Eldar and Dark Elves are worth a look for Slaaneshi kit-bashing and converting ideas.

Agreed, the Cockatrice has that avian thing going. Slaanesh is more serpents, snakes, wyrms, drakes, squids, etc.

Slaanesh can be anything, as it's about excess. Flagellants as slaves pulling it would work, chaos hounds, captured horses (especially elven horses) etc would all work well.

You know I forgot that the Kharibdyss was a thing! Sometimes I get the feeling Dark Elves are more Slannesh than Slannesh are at present - visually speaking model wise.

The Kharibdyss would be an ideal beast on its own; although its not quite what I'm looking for.

If there aren't any suitable models in the range would you convert/kitbash one? What should it have?

well thats what I'm kind of seeking is a conversion idea. I've got one idea in mind now although its tricky in that it requires some forgeworld parts from their Keeper of Secrets (head and I think the legs)

Are you trying to something sort of elegant and "otherworldly" looking like most Slaanesh stuff is?

From what I see, their beasts are all long and sleek, some overtly sexual in tone... Spiky...

Have you thought about using anything from the Dark Eldar range?

Such as the Talos or Cronos?

It would take some serious work to make it look less high-tech and more BDSM, but it could work... From there you could add Tyranid parts or claws or what have you and the options are endless. I'd probably give it Arachnorok legs or little nubby Mawloc arms and make something like Anub'Arak. Itlooks vaguely reminiscent of a Beast of Slaanesh but more "tanky".

Just throwin ideas around!

I'd say that beasty is more akin to a nurgle kind of creature; or a nurgal beast for a strong slannesh themed army (cross chaos god beasty).

To my mind like yours, Slannesh is all about a rather graceful form in their creatures. Khorne has a more bulky but not ungainly appearance; Tzeentch is either birdbrained or mutated and nurgle is - well - nurgle

What about an Ogre Kingdoms Thundertusk? Just an idea.

Hmm not my style I think.

That said I think I've got a rough idea:

That's a rough idea. Of course in full it would have both back legs. The one thing I need to find out is the relative actual real life sizes of the two models against each other as all I did there was bash it together in photoshop from photos.

As a conversion base, yes that could work - it's one of the more 'elegant' monsters. But replacing all the Tomb Kings symbols with something more Slaaneshi could be serious work - unless fluff-wise it can represent an ex-Tomb Kings creature seduced/captured/mutated by Chaos?

If you can get a size on the beast's body, I can give you the KoS head dimensions.
