They both look awesome. I can't wait to pick up my Ulric model tonight. He does look fun to paint. Also your wulfen looks awesome. Way better than the gw scheme. How'd you do the flesh areas? It looks way better than the normal skin tones gw used.

Thanks! I wanted to go for more of a werewolf look, I think the GW scheme has way too much contrast between the flesh and the fur which makes them look cartoony. Here are the paints I used:
-Gorthor Brown as a base for the flesh areas
-Rhinox Hide as a base for the fur areas
-Aggrax Earthshade wash over the flesh areas, then lightened back up with Gorthor Brown on the raised areas
-Nuln Oil wash over the fur areas, then drybrush with Mournfang Brown
-XV88 highlight for the flesh areas and on the tips of the fur areas
-Abaddon Black for the end of the nose, then Mechanicus Standard Grey for a highlight on the tip

Very nicely painted, my only gripe is that in the lighting conditions of the photo the highlight on the Wulfen's flesh really doesn't work for me. Looks like an greenish Ochre on a more reddish umber or burnt sienna background. (EDIT:it works great on the fur)

Yeah, photography is not my strong suit and I don't have the best camera, so the lighting changed some of the color properties, especially when zoomed in. IRL it's a much more subtle (brown on brown) skin highlight for the Wulfen, Ulrik's fur is darker and contrasts more with all the bone elements, and the reds on both minis have darker tones.

I've been working on and off with a Blood Claw squad, and here's the first finished marine. I also tried diffusing the lighting for these pics so it isn't so harsh.

nice detail and good colors! I like how the blue greys are a bit more grey.

Thanks! I use Mechanicus Standard Grey as the primary armor color, and Vallejo's Cold Grey for the highlights, to give them a more Heresy-Era color scheme. The reds and yellows are also toned down from the brighter, official GW scheme, using Khorne Red and Averland Sunset, respectively.

Really, really cool Wulfen models you've painted there, dude. As mentioned above, your paint scheme is so vastly better than GW's.. It makes me want to paint some myself.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a really good box, there are a ton of bits and every mini is packed with detail and character. I saw a lot of the criticism over their minis being ugly and I kept thinking, "because it's an ugly color scheme". Werewolves in power armor should be dark and menacing, not bright and cartoony.
