hi
Re the Discussion in the deathwatch overkill maybe it be nice to have an updated list of online stores and if you have used them?
i mainly use Dark Sphere or Wayland i prefer DS as they tend to send stuff out quickly, great CS, and I have never had a problem with them.( these are uk stores ) the only thing is if you buy multiples with DS especially larger boxes they do limit you.

Well, speaking for Australia I'll plug my local store who sells online, Irresistible Force. Great guys, tons of good hobby supplies (including Scale75 paints).
As well there is The Combat Company. They are the Bunnings of wargaming, lots of industrial style shelves with a buttload of stock, good prices, and a wide range. I love seeing them on Facebook posting pictures of the pallets of stock coming in any time there is a big release.

Fafnir wrote:Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that. |

Element Games - Also my local so little experience with postage, but only heard good things about them online.
Dark Sphere - As mentioned in OP, very good store. Shopped with them for years and cannot fault their service.
Troll Trader - Mainly used their Ebay store and only for Flames of War things. Prompt delivery, but occasionally less-than-stellar packaging resulting in some heavily-dented blisters and to date one damaged tank.
Firestorm Games - Also only used for FoW, but great service, competitive pricing, and swift delivery.
Wayland Games - Only used once or twice for FoW. No faults from me, but people with more experience have more to say about them.
Caliver Books - Only used their Ebay store as their website isn't exactly great. Very quick delivery, but also rather aggressive advertising and an air of big-headedness about themselves.
If I had to rank them, it'd be:
Element Games
Dark Sphere
Firestorm Games
Caliver Books
Wayland Games
Troll Trader - The only one so far to have delivered damaged goods.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Gifts for Geeks / Tabletop Tyrant - Very reliable and honest regarding stock levels. Good discounts, and their mail service is also pretty fast.
Wayland - I think you can search online and see how "happy" people are about them. Tended to oversell product then struggle to supply.

That was apparently down to an awful stock management system that's since been improved upon. I've no idea if the complaints went away though.

I would have to agree that on price and customer service ordering online then Element Games and Dark Sphere would be my top UK recommendations.
However I will also mention Warboar Games who are relatively new so not everybody may have heard of them.
They aren't as cheap as Element or Dark Sphere (average 20% discount as ooposed to 25%) but their customer service is great and their new store in Bromley is fantastic - highly recommend them.

I have never had trouble from Wayland. They have always sent what I have ordered. Their prices are good and free shipping over £40 is great.
They are perhaps not the fastest.

It's a lovely shop with a cafe and a ton of cool board games that you can play in the cafe. Upstairs is a pretty big games room with nice wargames tables and scenery. The staff are fantastic, the cafe is pretty good and they cater for a lot of different systems. I'd suggest checking they have the stuff you're after before popping in but they usually have most stuff on the shelves.
Certainly worth a look in any case if you get the chance.

US:
Discount Games Store (used soooo many times, free shipping inside US, even for Realm of Battle board--so they stick to their word). Their price is around $120 I believe.
A lot have dropped GW
Landmine@Ministomp.com is another seller via email. I got good stuff there from GW, 30% off and may take an extra couple of days. Smaller stuff may be out of box but NOT a boxed game. $165 will be $115.50 for Deathwatch through them. Email CardOgre at the email above.

Although have ordered online from them also and their service has been exemplary as always.

They don't sell GW, but "Miniature Market" seems to generally have some of the best prices. They also have a large clearance/sale section and a "deal of the day" which can sometimes be quite amazing.
My favorite feature is that with their relatively recent "Customer Hold" feature you can buy the deal of the day whenever you see one you like but not have to pay to have it shipped (flat rate $6) until you've got enough to make it worthwhile or until you reach the $99 threshold for free shipping.
Since I discovered the Deal of the Day and Customer Hold, I've spent a bit more, but also gotten ALOT more.

Used Wayland quite a few times, just because 25% off is too damn good to pass. The only drawback was that they would charge some insane amount for bulk postage.

If you're in Australia, check out my store Dragon's Lair Minis.
So far limited range of Knight Models, Knights of dice, reaper and p3 paints and W&N brushes.
Just starting off, looking at being the cheapest store in Aus. The more it grows the bigger the range.
Warmahordes will be next.

Thought the following positive experience might be of help to some...
I've just placed my second order with Alchemist Workshop over the bank holiday, received parcel tracking order this afternoon.
They replied to email enquiries very promptly before I placed my first order, and shipped the items out very quickly.
Only problem with 24% off GW stuff and free postage over £50 is that I'm buying more than I can paint!

You appear to have everything being sold for less than MSRP marked as "sale".
Where/when do/did you sell them for full MSRP?
