Hey guys, I'm starting this new Thread in order to share some of the current Work in progress for my nurgle themed CSM Army.

What's on the table right now?
A brand new Plague marines team!

I used some of the chosen CSM from Dark Vengeance as I really love those models!
They are so full of pipes and tubes that they will really fit into a nurgle themed army!
Obviously they need some "fix"

The proble was I didn't have the full team from the DV set, so I need to convert some of them heavily in order to avoid "clones"
Let's see some pictures (sorry for the bad quality but I tok them with my phone) :

1.

2.

3.

Pictures 1 and 2 are nearly finished, they are based on the same model and I tryed to give them a different look by swapping their left arm and converting them with GS in two different ways.
the one one the left on picture 1 need to be converted a little more, I want to put some more GS in order to fix the head and the right shoulderpad.

Pictures 3 shows the other component of the team! They are just assembled with different bits (mostly from possessed chaos space marines) and the lack of the GS work at all yet.

I know it's kinda early for critics and comments, but I would like to know what you guys think about them.
While waiting for more updates, please take a look at my gallery and the thread in the Painting & Modeling Showcase page!

Stay tuned!

Bye.

Hi there,
wanna share with you my new project.

This was an old Miniature from the lizards WH FB army.
It was like an ancient shaman on a palanquin, hold by 4 big lizards warriors.
It was badly colored so I had to remove the old paint levels at my best but in some places the pinture was just too hard to remove.

I removed the old staff, replacing it with tthe terminator chaos lord staff. Added tons of skull and other bits.
The aim of the conversion will be a Nurgle sorcerer on palanquin (or Epidemius as well)
Pipes and the grim cloak play well enough the nurgle theme in my opinion. The Nurgle standard force the concept in this direction.

I think I'm in a fair detail level at the moment but I feel like I should add something else.

Critics and comments are really much apreciated as well as new ideas and suggestions, in particular about what should hold the palanquin (I was thinking on a mix of technological things like tubes, chains and iron scraps, and organic items, like skull, corpses and so on. All stiched toghether by a "nurglish living mass")

Bye for now!

Excellent, very nice work decloning the DV Chosen.

The nurgle slaann palanquin project is brilliant, and I am definitely interested in seeing its next steps. Here are a two idea out of the blue :
-When you say that you should add something else, I immediately thought about the slaann's face. Whereas you definitely should preserve the frog aspect, maybe it could benefit from some chaotification, such as breaking off the symmetry by adding a third eye (nurgle sign) or some growths. Wires coming out of his cape and seemingly entering his flesh could also gorify him.
-Regarding what should hold the palanquin, a living mass is very appropriate and offers lot of potential. If you can imitate the concave shape of a snail/slug in order to represent movement, all the better. I think it would be great to spend extra attention on how this mass connects to the throne. While this flat area is very appropriate for the original model, maybe giving the impression that the throne is somehow encrusted into (a wider) mass would look better.

Anyway, looking forward to where you go from this. Praised be Nurgle.
