Hey guys! I've been a member for some years though have only posted less than a handful of times.

After reading the first Soul Drinkers novel I have become insanely inspired to do an army of these guys. Using the Games Workshop Chaos Mutations Sprue mixed in with a marine army once destined to be Salamanders (only a few painted), I am working on a Soul Drinkers army with a twist. With most people who do the few Drinker's army out there setting theirs before their major ..incident .. I am setting mine as if they have been reforged on a forgeworld in the Warp and returned to real space still Loyal to the Emperor, but not the Imperium which abandoned them. I still need to fluff out the story , but without further delay here it is !

While the spider-legs mutation was one of my less favorite aspects of those novels, you've done a really cool job replicating it. And I like the little individualized heraldries on some of the tactical Marines.

Thanks ! Yes generally the idea of Arachnids and Marines isn't a combination one would really think of to flow well ill admit. Had to stay true

Hey guys, managed to get three more Tac marines done for the squad. One was based standing on rock so I figured i'd go ahead and finish it up the way the rest of the army will be based. They will all either be Gravel with dabs of green toxic sludge, or standing atop rocks like one of the guys below surrounded by it !

Thanks man . I did that one stern guard in regular Flesh tones but it reeaaallly didnt feel right for the drinkers all considered Glad it's come out well ! 1 More marine, some basing and squad/chapter marks, and thats the first squad down !

Hey guys, managed to get the first Tactical Squad COMPLETE !! I am very excited as this is my first completed squad in years, and the first time I've ever hand painted the Chapter symbols, company and squad markings for a full squad ( Ive always had a bad case of wondering hobby eye, juggling too many armies at once ) .

Let me know what you guys think !

Hey guys, decided to break up the standard power armour and paint the Captain of my First Company !

Model was originally Carab Culln of the Red Scorpions from Forgeworld, however after deciding not to do the chapter, shaved off all markings to be used as a Soul Drinker.

Awesome. TAC Squad and Termie Captain are looking great. The captain just needs some termie buddies and a LR to taxi him around

Thanks I am the same ! I've finished the first novel and am reading the second. It really is a unique and gripping story.

Thanks man ! I actually have 3 Assault terminator squads, 2 of which have been converted to have Lizardmen Sauras shields from warhammer Fantasy, which I plan to do up in the near future.

Right now my attention is bring fought over between continuing these guys and my space wolves

Thanks Me too ! After the Terminator Captain i've been looking to paint non power armour to break it up a bit, but I do hope I maintain steam with this project

Hey guys,

I managed to finish a Thunderfire cannon and tech marine for my Drinkers. It was the first time I have ever painted this model and I think it may be a while before I paint one of these again hope you like it !

Apologies for the mismatched picture, I figured it was better than posting a bunch of photos but unfortunately my Tetris skills have failed me

If anyone is still following this, I apologize for the lack of progress ! I got to a point where I had to walk away from the brush for a few days but I have started the second Tactical squad and am going to try my best to get it completed

Well guys I am sad to say I have completely run out of steam for this project ! I walked away to give it a break, came back and attempted a second squad but have absolutely lost this project im afraid :( It's been sitting in my cupboard for some time now. The army ( all unpainted as well as that painted) is currently listed on ebay !
