Hey Dakka Dakka.

So I am starting a Dark Elves army for both 8th edition fantasy and Age Of Sigmar. Having never really gotten into painting, I have started painting my first model, limited buy the paints I currently have which is why the model is not complete, hair, dagger, gold parts still to clean up and wash etc.

Let me know if its looking ok and on the right track .

Personally I think it is a good start but having fun just practicing.

Cheers

That's looking good! Your paints seem thinned enough, your brush control doesn't look to be an issue and your understanding and application of highlighting appears to be fine.

Couple of suggestions, not hugely necessary at this stage but you might as well pick them up now as later! Take the purple you have, thin it right down to a very, very thin wash, and apply that to both the gold and the flesh. Not only will this add some depth to both, but it will tie it in with the cloth as well to give you a nice and coherent model. You need to be sure to avoid any pooling, all you want to do is get a very thin tint to the areas, but it should really add some pop!

Keep up the good work!

Much better than my first mini! Better than some of my current minis! You should also do a dry brush or highlight on the hair so it isn't just a solid black and the texture stands out a bit more.

Stikk bommas are special among ork society for one reason - They know when you pull the pin out of a stikk bomb you throw the bomb not the pin!

Could I ask what color purple that is? I am needing to paint the Necromancer from Zombicide soon and that would look good for his robes.

Hey all.

So done a little more work on the Sorcerer.

Lightly highlighted the gold to add bit more oomph to it.

And also done some work on the hair, as well as toned down the line highlight on back.

How am I doing?.

Almost done just got the dagger and base.

Cheers

Looking very nice, well done. Abd it's good to see some basing materials on there too. Often overlooked and it really makes a difference.
