This is personal preference, but I 'd recommend the base rocks get some paint. As it is the unpainted gravel kinda stands out from the base and look artificial. Some paint will help it blend in better and look more realistic.

DT you are 100% right.....needs some dark tones on the gravel to mute the brightness of it. Thank you
