In a movie called "Night At the Museum", display cases full of miniature Cowboys and Romans come to life each night. Every morning, they return to there old positions with no noticeable difference.
What would happen if your army came to life each night and returned to normal in the morning? (Feel free to write a short story if necessary.

I woke to the sound of boltguns and pulse rifles. Still half asleep, I open move over to my warhammer storage cases to find them riddled with holes. I flick on the light, and find my tau defending one corner of my desk from a dark angels assault. As I stood over the desk, the fighting came to an abrupt stop. Rail guns and lascannons turned and fired into my chest, knocking me back into bed.

Next morning, I got up and looked at the desk. The models were sitting peacefully in there storage cases, unmoving. I cautiously went over to the desk, but could not find any evidence of the battle I'd seen. I looked down at where I had been shot and jumped. A few holes that size of pennies were burned through my shirt.
To be continued......

Considering how many of my models are still on sprue, I'd probably hear screams of "KILL ME, PLEASE JUST KILL ME" from the stack of disembodied heads on my work table.

I... actually don't know. Help?

Oh no... I'd have a hundred Orks biting me, and at least 30 Space Wolves chopping my fingers off...

I'd charge them rent and impose noise restrictions. I'd also box them up with their enemies and lock them in a room with Paulie Shore movies on repeat to drive them crazy. Or set them to work painting each other.

My irks would be dropping spores making more orks because they don't need to die for that to start happening. The orks will get bigger, not remail 28mm. Eventually the military will have to be called in to deal with the real threat

Not sure if I'd be more concerned by the Necrons or the Genestealer Cult.

I wouldn't be overly concerned, my Thousand Sons would be about as much a threat as they are rules-wise.

Well, my Nids, Tau, and Necrons would be of little concern as they war with one another. My Space Marines are another matter. I'd have to keep an eye on my Alpha Legion; are they conspiring with my FFG Darth Vader? Will they seize the WotC AT AT and go all nuts and harrowing on me? My Blood Angels will probably spend most of their time just primping in the mirror, but the Death Company squad I'm locking away. The Ultramarines, whew, it would be all day from their Captain: " why did you not exercise today, for the Emperor? You know the range is open? A mown lawn is the Emperor's finest, don't you think? Why are you painting that Alpha Legion guy, do I smell the taint of heresy?"
It would be like the proverbial mother in law from hell.

Well, seeing as my 40k armies are pretty much currently suffering the same fate as Wheezy from Toy Story I'd imagine they'd be pretty unhappy and/or pissed.

Krieg! What a hole...

My appartement would be turned into an unpenetrable network of trenches and I'd have end up having more Kriegsmen than I started with. Oh, and my cat would get involved in this, not sure who would get the upper hand. I guess the Stormtrooper would just get ready to ambush an enemy that will never show up.

Considering most of my guys are glued to bases and in miniature cases, probably don't have to worry too much. The starship trooper bugs on the other hand... Well, let's just say that a cardboard box wouldn't slow them down much, especially since they don't use bases.

I guess the tanks could pretty easily bust out of their cases too if they weren't worried about a little collateral damage.

My table currently has:

15mm Soviets
15mm Germans
15mm WW3 soviets
6mm ww3 Soviets
28mm secret agents of A.R.S.E
A small formation of Zulus
Several part painted 28mm British line infantry
tyranids
a few relics models

and probably more

if they came to life its going to either be one heck of a party or the water pot may get knocked over.

It'd be a bloodbath going on what's on my shelf at the moment. Space Marines from over 10 chapters would be re-enacting the Badab War, Genestealers and Orks running wild, a few AoS guys wondering what the hell is going on, an Inquisitor trying to oversee the whole mess and a couple of Batman villains duking out out the X-men's Rogue and Colossus while Rebels and Imperials dogfight over the whole lot...

Totally random collection, me?

I might be in trouble if my armies woke up at night. My Dark Angels and Tau would probably start duking it out, and then my Khorne Daemonkin would join the fray, attracted by all the blood. And then they'd notice me staring at them.
The Dark Angels might mistake me for a Fallen and try to force me to confess to heresy.
The Tau would probably call me "the giant Gue'la" and try to convince me to embrace the Greater Good.
The Daemonkin would probably just try to harvest my skull for Khorne.
Actually the one model I might be scared of is my Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage. That axe could do some damage unless I'm wearing good clothing (and probably steel toe shoes). It is Strength D after all. And I'd be in real trouble if I took a hit from a weapon and it drew blood. Those Daemonkin would probably go bananas and start screaming "Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!" as they started attacking anything that moves.
Maybe at the very least the miniatures could deal with all the cockroaches in my apartment building. I might try to convince them that they are Tyranids...

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

I would not be too worried, as all my models are stored in a room that is locked whenever I am not working on them, or painting. That and the fact that something the size of a smal mouse would not worry me.
