I put this little number together after taking a break from some commission stuff I have been doing. I made the trails of blood from epoxy resin, strands of hair from my own fat head, and patience. I really hope you enjoy viewing this model as much as I had fun making it.

Awesome!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Cracking little piece there!

The fact that if you fast-forward the scene by a second or two, the two Gobbos will take each other out going by the trajectory of those wrecking balls only makes the whole thing more hilarious and goblintastic, I don't know if that was intentional or just a practical choice but it definitely works!

Super stuff!

These look great! Would love to hear a more in-depth explanation of how you did the blood effects.

It's kind of a tricky process. First get some hair, you could possibly use fishing line (I literally pulled a few strands from my fat head and since it is curly, it happened to flow int he right direction). Use some super glue to attach it to whatever surface you are going to have spattering on. Then using some epoxy resin drip it on to the hair. You are gonna want to wait until it is close to setting otherwise it will just bead off of the hair. I suppose in hindsight, you could use something that the epoxy can stick to, and apply it to the attached hair, but it may lose its translucent quality (need that for blood). you are going to need to repeat this 2-3 times, or until effect is desired. I dont know if they have a different term for epoxy resin in the UK, but it worked like a charm. Then a spattering of blood for the blood god, and you can use whatever you fancy for little chunks of flesh, organs, brains, or even chips of bone if you wish. Doing this effect on a spherical surface was a real challenge, and it would be easier with a sword or a choppa or something.

I think it turns from a great diorama into a fantastic one. It's got a great story to it.

Very nice work on this. As an Empire player, it brings great joy to know those two little bastards are going to destroy themselves! Anyway, I have had some luck on getting drip effects and such using hot glue, It isn't easy, but it hardens fast and can be stretched in the process. Not sure it's better than what you've gotten here (actually, I doubt it is....) but something simpler for a novice.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.
