So my idea was to make my Admech Knight as corroded and decaying as possible so he could be used in both my Admech as a really ancient knight, or my Chaos as a renegade knight. Ive got his shoulder pad and Chain sword done. Comments? Tips? Advice?

Great start and cool idea. Perhaps a little more contrast of decaying colors and maybe some seriously rusted out parts; but you definitely achieved 'decayed'.

You should try the 'wet' MIG ruse effects. I have a few but "Standard Rust Effects" is my favorite, it does what dry rust pigments would do... but in a much easier wash type application. You just shake it up good and apply like a wash.

haha...I've been spending too much time with ork and nurgle stuff I think...this looks basically "brand new" to me

I can't really imagine the mechanicus would let any kind of technology in their possession fall into a "nurgle/ork" level of disrepair though, so this looks about right

think I might second Gunzhard's suggestion of getting a bit of rust on there though...I haven't personally used that MIG stuff, but I've heard nothing but good things

Consider a black wash on the shoulder plates, just to provide some contrast between the armor plate and the metal ridge.
