Wondering Why the Emperor Left

Hi folks I felt like doing a quick ultramarine last night.
So I quickly got together a few bits, there's parts from the finecast veterans set, and some from the Ultramarines upgrade sprue. I also used some of the recent Battle of Calth kit.
Comments, questions and feedback most welcome.
Cheers

Nice work! Love the weathering. Always good to see more Ultras getting paint and love.

You painted him in one night? That would take me a week!

Very nice. I love the weathering and pose. Ultramarines have a cool upgrade kit, I am jealous.

Thank you all for checking it out.
I have just built, primed and done the blue basecoat for the e rest of the combat squad.
So I'll do a full post on those soon.
First I have to finish some more Death Spectres for the weekend.

Thank you, I have a combat squad on the table for this little mini project. Hopefully going on eBay when finished.

I echo all the compliments above but especially: "that would take me a week". I can't fathom how people can paint so well in such a short amount of time!

This is a fantastic, punchy paintjob that has got me seriously thinking about painting some of my own long-forgotten Ultras.
