Hey Dakkaz,

I bought an IK about a year ago and thought about just building it, painting it and good.
BUT my inner Mek couldn't resist and thought about looting it so it fits my Orkarmy.

It took a while to start because I wanted to be sure not to rush anything, think about cool
stuff to add and gubbinz I might need.

Last but not least I checked the internet to get some feeling about other Meks building their Deff Knights.

After all the waiting, thinking and more waiting for better ideas, I started with this project.

Looks fantastic man! Where did you get that plasticard tubing?

I buy my stuff at a local hobbystore.
It has nearly everything you need as a scratchbuilder or conversionist.

love it except for the chainsaw, I think you should exchange the original blade aswell.

I also failed to notice the Ork Boy standing in front, sharing the base with the Knight. I really like how that little addition brings out the scale of the main model-- and the scale of some of those conversions.

Yes, you re right. It s about the only thing I m not satisfied with. But everything I tried looked awful. If you have any suggestions or exampels, feel free to share them with me.

I just love to add such little things. There ll be 2-3 little Grots standing on his back plattform as well.

The chainsaw is history and replaced by a Powerclaw.

While building the klaw, I noticed I forgot to drill the nose - fixed that.
Next step: redo the basecoat and get him painted.

For me the claw is a little oversized, but in the spirit of 40k - bigger is better. I love it, can't wait to see it finished!

I've been thinking looting a knight would be a lot of fun, but what do you use it as?

It s to small to be used as a Stompa so either a Morkanaut or what might fit a bit better a Mega Dread / Meka Dread. Rules n stuff are available in IA8.

The claw might look to big due to the contrast. We ll see when he s painted.

Well, now I know what I'll do if an knight ever happens to fall into my hands...

This is a really cool conversion. You could run it as a counts-as renegade knight, it'd be CSM and be allies of convenience iirc.
