Hello All.

So I have had my Space Marine army now for quite some time, however I my self did not paint them, were purchased as they are.

However one of the draws to me purchasing the army was the paint scheme.

I must confess I am a beginner painter, who hardly ever paints and is limited in terms of techniques and painting knowledge.

Could someone please determine the colours the previous owner used and possibly a good technique to achieve the similar looking scheme, as I would like to finish the rest of the army in the same style/scheme.

Thank you.

By the look of this marine, there are 2 techniques used here. Drybrush with very pale blue, almost white and after that heavy wash or shade was applied. However I cannot determinate which the shade/wash is - it looks like nuln oil, but the base is blue so as might as well be any Dark-Blue nightshade. The silver part of the mini is ussualy leadbelcher and the other should be balthazar gold. I guess the red is Khorne Red or other darkish red color. The base can be The Fang or Caledor Sky, but again there is no way to determinate the exact color. However, there is no way telling if this model is painted with GW, Vallejo or something else.
